Nice little carrying a large variety of freshly made cheeses. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. This is my second and it’s better then I remember. My favorite items are the yogurt Gorgonzola and the Scamorza. We also purchased a kilo of the mozzarella which of course was wonderful and delicious. The staff here are kind and friendly. The place is well run and efficient. Never a long wait and if you do not air it’s well worth it! Highly recommended! I loved the enthusiasm and kindness of the people of the South. The store owner and the customers who visited the store spoke English for us and cared for us. The taste of the here was wonderful, and it was an unforgettable feeling and kindness to me and my husband !!! Make sure to taste fresh mozzarella, Ricotta and Pecorino here!!!!!! I love it!!!! AMAZING😍😍 The best caseificio! Amazing cheese. Mozzarella, ricotta, and many other. They make all the at the lab behind the shop. Lovely owner who sits in the shop, let’s you try all the cheeses, all products are made with vegetable rennet. Tip- book a class in advance This family-owned offers the finest hand-made artesanal that you'll find anywhere. Vito, Angelo, and have generations of experience, and if you take the "Cheese Tour," you can watch the production process... well worth the trip to the beautiful city of Altamura... thanks again... looking forward to my return visit. A presto! Buongiorno. Abito in provincia di Brescia e gradirei, viste le recensioni, acquistare le vostre mozzarelle di Bufala e Burratine. Beautiful and dairy products made by the Dicecca with love. I see why every time I there is a steady stream of locals. Not to be missed. Went to after our lunch at Baby Dicecca in the forest. Maristella And Vittoria were such lovely hosts. After they found out we just visited Vito at Baby Dicecca, they immediately offered photos with us and shared their history. Such a warm and friendly environment, and the were obviously amazing. All the best! If you are looking for a pilgrimage…this is the place to go! We saw it on Stanley Tucci’s series and thought it would be a waste to not since we were only an hour away! Wow! We got to try a few things and it was ALL good! A burrata mixed with blue cheese? Oh yeah! 💯💯💯 It’s a run business and we got to meet the sister who was running the front counter and one of the brothers came out to practice his Spanish with me. All around great vibe! We left with a bag of goods and I was wishing I would have bought more! Fantastische winkel met fantastische producten Geholpen door een zeer vriendelijke dame. Deze winkel is een zeer grote omweg waard Tappa obbligatoria in Puglia, prodotti eccezionali. My wife and I bought from here. As Americans we were told we HAVE to come here and get cheese. We were not disappointed. We burrata, ricotta and a few others. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Although there was a language barrier, they had no problem taking their time to try and translate the products and explain about each we wanted. 10/10 would recommend. Caseificio Dicecca is steeped in history, family, and a love for the craft of cheesemaking. I highly recommend taking the for a behind the scenes look at how the is made, a beautiful walking of Altamura, and a delicious lunch. For me, the best part was meeting, conversing, and getting to know Vito, Roberta, Milan. It’s the human interactions that make these experiences really shine. Grazie mille Famiglia Dicecca! Altamura miasto cudów . Niesamowite sery + chleb = bajeczne śniadanie .Dziękujemy za degustacje i miłą obsługę. The in Altamura. This is the definition of a owned & operated business. The has been making from this since 1930 and is now being run by the grandchildren. Our today is set with Vito, who together with his brothers & sisters carry on the business. To say that this is a tasting would be a major understatement. This would be better described as a life lesson built around great that includes history, tradition, family, dedication, artisanship, culture, humor, entrepreneurship, human connection and kindness. We began the day in the where we met Vito and his siblings (two brother and two sisters). The itself is unassuming, the kind of place where the locals go and people know you by your first name. In back of the is their small one room production facility, managed by one of the brothers Paulo, who demonstrates how the fresh are produced. After a hearty sampling (first course) of fresh straight from the production line, we are led on a walking of the city by Desire who is one of the funniest and most interesting people. She’s in her third year of medical school and helps out the as her side gig because she enjoys the of family, community and meeting new people. Her personality, perspective & humor kept us laughing the entire day. Later in the day, we met up with Vito and his wife for lunch at his restaurant, which is tucked away in the forest/park outside of town. The lunch (a true feast) was all about how quality complement every dish. After lunch Vito sat with us over coffee and shared his story of growing up as the restless brother who left home to work abroad but was drawn back to the business. Vito explained how he introduced blue-cheese to the craft mix which has since become a best-seller in the and a walking of the town which also attracted celebrity attention with visits by Anthony Bourdain and Stanley Tucci. Vito also setup the new restaurant with his wife to complement the production. By the end of the day, we realized that we had been treated to something more than a tasting tour, we had experienced a healthy serving of life and human connection with a side of cheese. Insider tip: on the day of the tour, skip breakfast and prepare to be treated to a feast. We just returned from a trip to Puglia & Rome. Visiting this incredible was my #1 highlight! I was beyond impressed with the but what made it such a memorable was spending time with the owners during an impromptu tasting, learning all about their craft and the expert farming/culinary community behind the product. Thank you again to the team for accommodating our large group - a quick shopping stop turned into an improvised picnic and class! Our hosts were fantastic, especially with kids. We left with a super cute custom cooler full of and our unexpected favorite: the yogurt. I highly recommend a - for me, this was the best food of the entire vacation. Friendly and knowledgable lady who patiently explained the different local types of to us. Vast array of local with different textures and ‘flavours’. Worth stopping by to buy some local produce! A real gem. Grazie, Signora! I visited a dairy farm in Puglia a few months ago and it was an unforgettable experience. I was greeted with upmost hospitality and kindness. I would highly recommend visiting this gem of a place nestled in the forest, the is truly the star !!! If you like cheese, you will enjoy. If you love cheese, you will be in high heaven. Great of characters. Should get a reality show.
