A wonderful in the Puglia region. We had a wonderful guide take us down into the cellar to see the wines. Afterwards we had a light lunch with tasting. Their Primitivo #17 was really delightful. Enjoyed their dessert so much, I purchased a case to send back to me in the states. What a true pleasure enjoying some fantastic winces at a beautiful venue. You will definitely think you're lost on the small roads leading in but truly worth a visit. Primotivo 16 and 17 were the stars of the show and there rose was exceptional. Staff was amazing, cellar unique overall great. The only thing that didn't suite my taste buds was interestingly the olive oil. A bit spicy for my taste. Will be looking at acquiring some back home. Wonderful tour, Johnny was fluent English speaker and taught us a lot of each during our lunch and pairing. Worth checking out even if you don't have reservations. Very nice experience. All the and the food were amazing. The girl who was our guide through the winery presented in very nice manner and was very sweet and attentive. Thank you! P.S.The only thing that was missing was visiti to the vineyard. That would make the 100% complete. But anyway I totally recommend 👌 ☺️ 🍷 Excellent Winery in Gioia del Colle We booked the 1.5h with 5 different tasting. First, they gave us a and explained the history of their wines. The girl was so enthusiastic and had so much knowledge about it it captivated us✨ Then, the at the most beautiful place. We also got to try their 🫒 olive oil and handmade taralli. We spent over 4h without realizing it. Just going through the and their particularities. 10/10 I couldn’t recommend it more🥰 The most wonderful of I have ever had. Ema, the guide, is originally from UK and is living in Puglia. She explained the making process and traditions in great detail and answered all the questions. The was exceptionally good. Much much recommended! 🍷 On our recent trip to southern Italy, my wife and I were exploring the area around Matera, and heading back to Bari. We stopped in at the Polvanera winery for at of their primitivo wines. The room is a beautiful modern facility with tables to enjoy and accompanying food. The staff spoke English and were very informative and friendly. We sampled a variety of and enjoyed our afternoon at Polvanera. Use Google map to navigate, as the facility is located in the heart of vineyards and the roads are very narrow. Definitely worth a trip to taste excellent wine. We visited for a and a light lunch package. The and food is good. However, the was very short, little information and it felt rushed. The crew didn’t seem very passionate. If you just come for and food it’s a good pick but if you expect a proper I wouldn’t recommend. We visited Cantine Polvanera with our kids 6, 4 and 1 years old. We ordered two glasses of in the bar and could enjoy them. We didn’t do a traditional or but were able to see some parts of the production, e.g. throw a window. We felt very welcome! The was great! This was our first in Puglia and we were utterly mesmerized by it. Although we had a light lunch, we were all very full after that. The team spoke good English and were extremely kind and hospitable, which made us feel comfortable immediately. Before we left, we bought 12 bottles of from them. That is concrete testimony of how impressed were were by their wines. Would highly recommend. Great experience! The were unique and full of character, and the team was friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!
