I love that we stumbled upon this restaurant. It was a very small road leading to this restaurant, but we persevered. The food was fantastic and the service was friendly and quick. Such a cozy restaurant. I highly recommend the goulash! It warmed me right up from the drizzly rain. We also ordered the schnitzel and kassaspaetzle. Both were fantastic! Super friendly service despite that we had to order at the counter. The portion sizes are generous and the food was not too expensive. The service was awful. We came for lunch in summer and even offered to open an umbrella ourselves so we could sit in the shade. The waiter refused and only gave us a half-shaded table (which of course turned into full sun by the end). Later, when new guests arrived, they happily opened umbrellas for them. Service was painfully slow, staff unfriendly, and at the end they tried to overcharge us after mixing up our bill. When we asked for clarification, the waiter claimed he’d already left the bill on our table (not true) and admitted he didn’t even know what we’d ordered. The food was decent and the lake is beautiful, but the staff were shockingly unprofessional. I would never recommend this place. This place is wonderful! I was a bit concerned that it didn't even exist since I had to drive through very windy and narrow roads to get there, but it was totally worth the drive. The view was unbeatable and the service was fantastic. The food was among the best I've ever had! I had the daily special that consisted of bacon dumplings in a mushroom sauce... Just excellent☺️. Couple of warnings: cash only and the kitchen closes before close of business; they just serve drinks after that. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a super meal here. Kids also went to the lake and had a bath! Amazing food and Extraordinary views! WILDRAGOUT was amazingly good!! Dessert also was great! Great location and beautiful traditional building. Dishes were fairly tasty. However, the welcoming was fairly unfriendly and we were served bottled water already opened, and charged over 6 Euros without being communicated anything about the inability to honor the order and the price that we would be charged. Rude older waiter refused to seat us, brought the wrong drinks, then insisted we pay for them. Very unfriendly, dismissive attitude toward non-German-speaking hikers. Would not recommend. Unfortunately, the service was very unfriendly. We did not feel welcome there at all. Children seemed to be a nuisance. The food was okay, but very overpriced for its quality. No 0,3l drinks available for kids. We would have left if the children hadn't been very, very hungry. It's a pity since the surrounding and the lake are lovely.
