We were just a few people from the whole group who didn't understand German and the host separately told us in English a lot of things about his story and Alpacas, we appreciated it. Alpakas are very calm and friendly, so we had a nice and took a lot of fun photos/videos. Totally recommend it! It's worth it to drive here from Prague! Really enjoyed our visit to this alpaca farm. I was worried it would be somewhat of a tourist trap, but I didn't have that feeling at all while there. The owners trust you to follow their instructions and feed their animals without any micromanagement, which I appreciated a lot. Up at the very small but very lovely shop, the ice cream costs €3.50 and is available in chocolate and vanilla, and is very rich in flavor - much more suited to an adult palate than a child's. We got an informative introduction to the alpacas, got to know them by name, and even got to take them for a walk through the woods for about 2 hours. The alpacas looked happy and were absolutely adorable. It was a company event and everyone had a wonderful time! Alpakas are cute but I don’t recommend this if you speak only English want more than just look at them. Everything is in German and there is no translation. It was a bit upsetting that they were all shaved and not as pretty as expected, but we were just not lucky I guess. Highly recommended I have done the mini trek twice with various friends and family, in autumn and in spring. You first spend a while in the paddock field learning about the Alpacas and feeding them. The walk is a gentle 2 hours and you are paired up with an animal of your choice, having learnt about their various personalities first! Alpacas are surprisingly very relaxed and friendly little furry friends. No sign of aggressive behavior or even spitting ;). The owner of the alpaca finca Franziska spend 1,5 h of her valuable with us – sharing her knowledge and answering questions about raising Alpacas.
