We tried a few of the Sladovna beers, all of which were delicious. My wife especially liked the Mini Max 10 and I had the Soul mates IPA 15 and Polibek IPA. Music was great too - check out Firehouse if you haven't listened to them before! This is a revelation in the heart of Old City Bratislava. An absolute GEM of a bar. The food is excellent pub fare, but more traditional Slovakian food. The beers are superb. We enjoyed 5 different beers, the light lager, the regular lager, the Vienna lager, the IPA, and one more that escapes my memory. If we manage to get back there again today, will update....🤪. When we got there at around 9:30 pm only 1 big table was open, so we sat down at one of its end, leaving the rest open for a bigger group to come in. We were immediately approached by a waiter who tolds us the table is for a bigger group in quite a rude way. We explained we just want to have one drink and they only had this table available. Plus in a place like this, we assumed that if another group of people came in, they would have no issue sitting with us at the same table. That did not matter to the waiter and he asked us to leave. I began asking to speak to a manager, as this was entirely ridiculous, but he just turned around mid sentence and walked away from us without a word. So of course we left. This was such an unpleasant experience that I doubt I will be coming back ever again. What a great way to show the customers how little they matter.
