The museum was okay but smaller than we expected and it was $16, which was a bit steep. The coolest thing here was the huge shoe out front and you can honestly get some pictures and videos of that and be satisfied without going in. It was interesting seeing some of the old shoe machines from the shops and different materials used to create the designs on the shoes. Overall, it wasn’t too bad Not very impressive. However, they did have a really big hiking boot at the entrance. Nice museum for people who are interested in the history of shoemaking, a lot of machines and from all around the world. They also have a quite impressive collection of of celebrities, from Shaquille O'Neal to Angela Merkel. The museum hosts a complete production line from the beginning of industrialized shoe making. Very informative and well arranged in an old shoe factory. There is a collections of footwear from celebrities and through the centuries representing all kinds of jobs and tasks. Beyond that it features a historic collection of sports equipment and medals from local heroes. Very enjoyable visit!! It's a museum about the rise and fall of the shoe industry in the region. The exhibition shows how the production of changed during decades and also how it shaped the economy and social life of the people who worked there. A must see! A lot of history in one place. When you hear about the Chinese women and what they did to their feet just to make their feet not grow in hope of getting married to a rich husband. Astonishing. A lot of the old machines that make the tour come alive when they are turned on. The museum is impressive, we had a tour guide in english and also one in german. You can see a lot of machines that made history. The collection of is all around the world and you can see how they evolved from all over the world and throughout time. Including a pair of moccasins.
