This is a fantastic place to for both adults and children. Reasonable entrance price helps to keep the place going. very chatty and about the which look to be well looked after and active little zoo! It is only but if you engage with the zookeepers they are really and full of information. We fed the otters and also the marmoset monkeys. They sell pellets in the shop to the emus and the pigs too. They have ice cream and looking cakes aswell as a sandwich, panini, wrap menu aswell as jacket potatoes. I had a brie and bacon panini. It was lovely. It's not posh fancy food it's just basic but good value and tasty. Plenty of in and outdoor seating too. All the very lovely. Some interesting too! The armadillo was cool. My kids absolutely the ladybird hunt in exchange for a sweet. It was a fab idea they thoroughly enjoyed. We spent probably 2 and a half hours here and thought it was money well spent :) Would definitely recommend. It wasn't overcrowded either so it was a pleasurable experience enjoyed by all. Thankyou! What a wonderful little zoo, there are some and they are so well looked after, the keepers can't do enough for you and do little interactions throughout your visit, we'll definitely be back, my grandson it We enjoyed our visit, although felt it was expensive for what it was & how long we spent there It's not your traditional sized zoo If you look on Google maps it's basically someone's back garden type area with several rescued in (a decent amount although not loads) They do talks and feedings which you can pay towards getting involved in (feeding the otters was fantastic) Being on the smaller side meant you had more opportunity to speak to the keepers, you can get to know the quirks a bit more, and you don't have far to go between the talks etc Highlights for us were: Feeding the otters shellfish and crustaceans Petting a skunk Watching the porcupines get their dinner and we even got to feel one of their old spines Feeding the wallabies some grass You can also pay extra for even more intimate experiences with them The pics of the shared in this post isn't far off the totality of what is on offer to observe That being said - cost money to care for and they need people to visit. We still enjoyed ourselves and would go back if we were in the area It's a special corner of the world! What a wonderful little zoo! The keepers are passionate and wonderfully knowledgeable. They know all by name and can tell you all about their individual traits. The are well cared for and look happy and contented. It has concrete paths so you dont get muddy. Some we had never seen before and it was fascinating to learn all about them. You can buy food and some species. You can park onsite they have a little cafe and gift shop.Little children have a wooden outdoor adventure play area with sand and water trays.They also do animal experiences and shadow a keeper experience too. We liked it better than the South Yorkshire Wildlife Park as you can get up close and personal  to most of he and they are really friendly. an Eastern chipmunk a dandelion and you will see what we mean! It's a real treasure of a place we all it and will be back soon. I added a bunch of photos so you can see how wonderful it is. Cost £30 for me and my two son's plus £2 for my eldest to the otters. We had a good time and enjoyed seeing the animals. It is a zoo though and you can get around it in about half an hour if you have kids that rush. We enjoyed it though! It's so with very little animals. Just go whenever you're free. The is so 🙂 What little place. Every member of is and friendly. The are amazing. Got a little cafe doing snacks and light bites. And a nice little gift shop. Would definitely recommend. Beautiful and clean Zoo, Very well looked after animals, Very helpful and keepers and staff. Make no mistake this a zoo BUT!!! We genuinely saw all the that they have. We the otters We stroked a skunk and a ferret We the emu from my hand And we the pigs. There are 1-2 star ratings for this zoo for only because it is small. But me and my 5 year old son had a good 2/3 hour didn’t rush and we had a fantastic time. The little gift shop had some earring and brackets for smaller girls And some funny Lego dinosaurs for my son. It was brilliant for a mornings trip for a lazy Sunday Definitely Recommend And I’m happy to spend a little money on a business that will have very high running costs little zoo, perfect for a couple of hours. Had a really enjoyable day here! The were very informative and had stories about the animals, my daughter got to help 3 and got to stroke another two so she was made up! The park is well laid out and there’s benches everywhere for those that aren’t able bodied. The food we ordered was and came out nice and hot, and in a timely manner. My only gripe is that the play area could be improved. There was nothing for my 1 year old boy to do, and my 3 year old needed help on all the balancing beams. That’s the only thing I could comment on xx Had a fantastic time, the keepers were all really attentive and friendly, providing lots of information about all the which are all rescues. We came just as feeding was taking place which was great. little zoo. All are and super about the they keep, you can tell they really care. I did a lemur experience and every minute of it. The were in regard to my disabilities and found it mostly accessible in my wheelchair. A way to pass a couple of hours and the animal experiences are priced very fairy. Can’t wait to do another. Brilliant place to visit. Very and very about all the that live at the zoo. The little cafe serves tasty food and snacks and is for a treat. There’s little bags of food to the at the gift shop. I would definitely recommend a trip to messingham zoo, the are adorable and well looked after. My daughter was really taken with the chipmunks and the lemurs, and she got to the cute little otters. Great place, staff… go visit. This zoo is a little treasure! It is but it really is mighty- The are so and knowledgable you can really tell the are well cared for. There are animal interactions and talks during the day and experiences on offer. We did a last minute meerkat one and it was simply amazing very hands on, my son absolutely it! Please support this fabulous little zoo! Did the zoo keeper experience with my grandson and it was absolutely fabulous . value for money and the are amazing . Fabulous memories made .
