We had a lovely private caravan for the weekend lake side the park is so nice and everyone talks to you when walking the dog 🐕. The pub is nice inside and the prices are good for food and drinks and there is an area for you to sit and have a drink with the dog so all good. All in all we will be going back. We love staying here. Perfect place to relax and unwind for a long weekend. Everyone is friendly. Fishing lakes are beautiful with lots of wildlife and dog walking. The onsite bar and restaurant is good value for money and staff are really friendly. With 40mins before the kitchen closed. Tom and his team accommodated our party of 13. Moving tables and chairs so we all sat together. Could not fault the food or service by both waiting and bar staff. None of our party were staying on site. Relatives live locally. Will certainly be visiting in the future. Food was really good if a little slow in being served, but was really busy and we were having a relaxing day. We sat at table20 which was like a little cabin and the only complaint we would make in an overall brilliant visit was the “cabin” was full of cobwebs and subsequently spiders and spider cacoons. This is an easy fix. We will be back but will change tables if not sorted. Went for something to eat ,ended up with the best burger we all had in a long time ,the entertainment that night was a young lady who had a tremendous voice and was also a talented comedian brilliant night good location and very waiting and bar staff, nice atmosphere 👍 would definitely go again My issue isn’t to do with the accommodation or location it’s the fact that they have so many firework displays, it’s a pet site too so obviously they’re not that pet 🤷🏻‍♂️ Xmas and new year everywhere is bad enough without having them on a camp site numerous times a year for no apparent reason other than to satisfy the fetish of some firework addict 🙄 If you want to keep in with the local community may I suggest you try putting the financial cost of the fireworks towards some deserved local charity !!!! Instead of spending hundreds or whatever it costs to go up in smoke and the remains land in my effing conifer bush !!!! 🤬🤬🤬 Organised a table reservation for my daughter’s birthday. Tom and team set up the table with balloons and banners. Also brought the cake out with candles lit and sang. Food was lovely and enjoyed the new menu. Thanks for making daughters birthday special. I would like to start by saying the food was great, and the bar staff were very welcoming, however, the customer service from one waitress was horrendous. I had not visited the restaurant since last year and was not aware that some things had changed, I asked the waitress for some condiments and her response was appalling, she has no customer service skills nor manners.
