One of the Best Places To Visits in La Orotava Mount Teide is highly recommended for its stunning views and unique landscape. Plan your visit in advance, book cable car tickets online, and secure necessary permits. Be prepared for the altitude and potential weather changes. Consider visiting during shoulder season to avoid crowds. Permits to access the peak are required and must be booked online well in advance. Altitude sickness is a possibility. Check weather conditions before visiting. The cable car may be closed due to bad weather. Consider appropriate footwear. It's like walking on the moon and the air is so clear. Mount Teide is one of those places that genuinely takes your breath away – both literally and visually. People who visit tennerife and don't go there are missing the best place on the hole island. Absolutely phenomenal views! Just breathtaking! Even if you don’t go all the way to the top, the journey itself is worth it. The first time we got there the car was not running. They said it was due to strong winds but there was a slight breeze at most. You need to get your ticket online in advance, but you can do it once you reach the car station with their WiFi. However, most departure slots will be booked out by then. Going up and down costs 42 €. Reminds me of Switzerland. You cannot just go up and down as the footpath is closed. They say it is for works but it may be equally well for generating additional sales for the car. Forget about going from La Rambleta (the upper car station) to the very top. You need a which they say js for free, but strangely enough, all the slots are booked out for the three months to come so you can only do it with a guided tour for 141 €. I cannot imagine anyone to be crazy enough to pay that much for just another 162 m of altitude. The summit of Spain presents a remarkable experience. The hike, which necessitates prior authorization, offers an exceptional ascent. A roughly 40-minute trek leads to the peak, where the vistas are undoubtedly impressive. The entire is exceptional, and the pervasive scent of sulfur is noticeable. This experiance is absolutly complicated. You need a to go up to the highest point. You get a slot and it's neccesery to months in advance. You need a ticket for the car with a time slot. The car is often not working because of wind and booked out in advance. If you the for the it's usually not possible to the car. So it's neccesery to remember and the car later. It's only allowed to stay 1 h at the top. So if you don't get the right slot for the car, you can't go up :) And then we got an email 1 day before our departure that we need another to down. And u imagine it already: the has a time slot and is booked out in often. Ah and you need to be prepared with blankets, headlight and so on (that is ok, if there would be an information in the booking process). Three websites, two permits and no information. Especially about the new to up and down. It's a shame. I think they just wanna sell the expensive guided tours. Ah and there is a status on the website about the car and the routes. But no information why something is open or closed. The routes were displayed all closed on the website, but in reality everything was open. Good that we tried it. At the end we did our two hikes and it was absolutly awesome. But be prepared and everything in advance. But be warned: if one route or the car is closed, you can't do that experiance because there is no possibility to change or get the permits. 5 stars for the experiance and 0 for the process and information. At 3718m above sea level the highest in Spain and the Atlantic Ocean, and one of the biggest Volcanoes on Earth. The mountain has many beautiful viewpoints, but getting up there on trail is a hard trek, and the car is a bit expensive at €41 return tickets. As wrote many people before, you need the permission. But also to get to the top, from some point is required to have high hiking shoes and other equipment. Due to the bad weather (also the line was closed that day) and bad shoes the guards didn't allow as to continue to the top. Yes, it is high mountain, we could be better prepared, but in the permission was nothing about required equipment. But even if don't get to the top the mountain itself and nature around is beautiful experience. Mount Teide is one of those places that genuinely takes your breath away – both literally (hello, altitude!) and visually. Standing this high above the island feels surreal. The are insane, stretching across the clouds, volcanic rocks, and the Atlantic in the distance. If you’re planning to take the car up, buy your tickets online in – seriously. They often sell out on the spot, and trust me, you don’t want to all the way up unless you’re on a full-blown mountaineering mission. Once you’re up there, it’s a mix of lunar landscapes and raw natural beauty. The air’s crisp, the vibe is peaceful, and it’s one of those moments that makes you feel tiny in the best way possible. Definitely a Tenerife must-do! Mount Teide is a must see if you’re in Tenerife. The are stunning and the walk is fairly easy if you take your time. The car is a bit pricey and can feel a little nerve racking but honestly it’s worth it for the and the at the top. It does get harder to breathe as you get higher up so pace yourself especially if you’re not used to the altitude. The surrounding landscape is just as incredible with that otherworldly volcanic vibe everywhere you look. Make sure to in if you’re planning to go right up to the because that part needs a and spots go quickly. Definitely one of the highlights of the island. What a fantastic place. We have travelled a lot in our lives and have never seen anything that comes up to this place. It's like walking on the moon and the air is so clear. Great cafe at the top with lovely cake and great coffee. We went three times in 26 days holiday and couldn't get enough of it. People who visit tennerife and don't go there are missing the best place on the hole island The most magical place on the island! Stunning panoramic views. The car reaches the top quickly, but it is crowded. Wear comfortable and appropriate shoes, and also make sure to buy your ticket in advance. Even the drive up to the car station is an in itself. There are parking spaces, but it’s best to be there about 40 minutes before your reserved time slot. We visited in mid-October and it wasn't cold. It is definitely worth it, especially if you haven't been at such a high before. Awesome. But to get to the peak, you need a separate permit. The website that sell cabin tickets offer the tour to the for 140 eur. This is a scam as the is totally free of charge but must to be booked upfront on the government website. One day is not enough to explore the whole park + observatory. Close to 12k feet high, the volcano is amazing-its a bit rocky at the top of the mountain and I did feel a bit light headed due to the but worth the experience! El Teide Viewpoint: A Must-See Experience! This trip up the El Teide car was an incredible experience! The from the top are breathtaking and truly unforgettable. I highly recommend visiting this iconic landmark. 🧣 Essential Tips for November Visitors Be prepared for the cold! We visited in November, and you must dress warmly in layers. The temperature at the summit is near freezing (around 0^\circ\text{C}), and it is extremely windy. Proper attire, including a hat and gloves, is essential for comfort. ✅ Practical Information & Organization The car operation is very well organized. Even with a crowd, the staff manages the queues efficiently. The entire team is incredibly helpful and friendly, making the whole process smooth. Crucial Advice: You must buy your tickets online in advance! They sell out very quickly, and you don't want to risk missing out. Once you are at the viewpoint, you have about one hour to take in the spectacular panorama and capture some truly stunning photos. ⚠️ Safety Note Please be aware that due to the high altitude, this trip is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart problems, or children under the age of three. 🚻 Amenities There are free restrooms available at the top station, as well as a vending machine offering both hot and cold drinks. stunning views, like from different planet. Make sure you stick to the trail, you are not allowed to go anywhere apart from 1 or 2 designated paths without permit. It’s amazing! Just buy lift in and get online free to the top (few month in advance, later it’s not available), but even without it there are still two easy walking routes! I recommend taking a hoodie 💨(it’s colder up there) and definitely setting out early in the morning, because around noon there are so many cars that there’s nowhere to park. Cars are turning around, stopping on the road just so people can take a photo. It’s pure chaos. The nature and landscape look like they’re from another planet — it’s no coincidence that people say the surface here resembles Mars. 🪨🌋 phenomenal views! Just breathtaking! 🤯🤩 great photo opportunities too. The drive to the car is also a fantastic drive 🙌 This place feels like it's not of this world! You will truly be impressed by the natural and unique beauty of this place because it's certainly not like anywhere else you have visited! I would recommend a guided tour where you can not only learn about the history of this magical area because there is a lot to learn and a lot to enjoy. Visiting Teide Volcano is truly an unforgettable experience! Being above the clouds gives you a surreal feeling, as if you're standing on top of the world. The drive up is just as amazing, winding through layers of clouds and breathtaking landscapes that make the journey part of the adventure. The from the top are stunning, with panoramic sights that are perfect for photography and simply soaking in the natural beauty. The only downside is that it can get very crowded, especially during hours, and finding parking can be quite challenging. Despite this, the is well worth it and is a must-see if you're visiting Tenerife. 🌋✨️ An unforgettable experience! Mount Teide is truly one of the most spectacular places I’ve ever visited. The during the drive up are breathtaking, with incredible landscapes that change as you gain — from forests to volcanic rock. There are plenty of viewing points along the road where you can stop, take photos, and just soak in the scenery. Even if you don’t go all the way to the top, the journey itself is worth it.
