I walk here along the footpath from the waterfall, took 12 minutes. But it is locked, totally fenced off. Maybe there’s a main entrance somewhere?! Something different with a Waterfall in the background with a different perspective. Next to the town, the is a parking in front, the is free. There are great views. Recommended. The archeological has a great potential but it's not exploited in any way. The place is quite abandoned and the grass is everywhere out of order, avoiding you the chance to take a to the site. It's a pity because there's a lot of history here. Even though we didn't the itself, the surroundings have been very nice. This is a magnificent but simple archeological site. If you do a little homework before visiting you’ll be rewarded by a walk through a once important ancient town. It’s free to and easy to teach, with a simple car park. There are various helpful signs around the site, somewhat sunbleached but insightful and simple. The is still under developed but that’s a good thing. The wife made a comment that a strange chap was following us in dark sun glasses so we split up which confused the chap. Only to find it was the female attendant following us around. Be careful when using Google Maps. It might direct you into mudy roads. It's better to choose the path going from the south near The General Hospital. Αγγίζει σίγουρα την επίσκεψη! Για εμένα τουλάχιστον ήταν πολύ ενδιαφέρον κι αν δεν είχα μαζί μου μικρά, θα καθόμουν να το εξερευνήσω όλο. Ο ξεναγός ευγενέστατος! Το gps μας μπέρδεψε λίγο για να πάμε με αυτοκίνητο αλλά υπάρχει και άλλος δρόμος κάτω από τους καταρράχτες, για τους φαν της πεζοπορίας. I followed the signs from the Waterfalls and Mills. First it was difficult to find, but found it when I was at the mills. The path is very steep and not used much, apart from by fly tippers. At the end of the path you end up by a locked gate at the back of the site, so you can only see a bit of it from a farmer's land. It is a nice route, with lots of fig trees everywhere but disappointing to find the closed at the end of it. Well-preserved Roman ruins built on an old Hellenic site. Only around 5% has been excavated, it was a big town. The highlight of our was the guide, who gave us lots of interesting information and was very passionate. Highly recommend to seek him out if he doesn’t find you! This is a magic place to see and to stay a bit. There are free guides available here for everyone , really preparated and passionated. And very beautiful and special. There was also a cute dog that you could cuddle. Do you remember me? I was the one who was there during the autumn holidays with my mum and my two brothers and played with the dog. He stole my shoe and I tried to catch him but it didn't work. I also donated a pack of dog food. It doesn't cost anything to come onto the site, but you can donate dog or cat food. This is great! Is the dog still there? Έχει δύο δρόμους ο ένας είναι από τους καταρράκτες και ο άλλος από κεντρικό δρόμο πρώτου μπεις στην πόλη της Έδεσσας ....
