It was an interesting experience and the was very beautiful, especially on the inside. I was wearing shorts and they asked me to cover up my legs with a robe/skirt thing before going inside the monastery. Worth it though! Very ancient place, well preserved, has entrance tickets. I highly recommend visiting this place you get the chance to feel relaxed,is a lovely place, you can buy the tickets on the way no need to book the tickets before and is also cheap. Absolutely amazing monastery! While one side of th exterior fresco is still being restored, the rest, especially the inside, have breathtaking colours. The biblical references can be difficult to identify, so reading up on this ahead of your visit would help, otherwise just take your time to enjoy it all. The history of Christians is painted over the walls hundreds of years ago. You can feel inside the presence of God and your soul fulfilled with his presence.
