Coming down from Putna, it is the first to encounter. You could walk from Putna to Sucevita, past the hills (a 17km - 10miles - trek) which is very rewarding. The one part is a bit damaged but on the other side you can see all those paintings and wait for the inside part (which sadly can't be photographed). We visit it during a holiday was literally packed with people and cars. Even if the parking was challenging was at no cost and overall did not influence the experience at the monastery. Absolutely amazing monastery! While one side of th exterior fresco is still being restored, the rest, especially the inside, have breathtaking colours. The biblical references can be difficult to identify, so reading up on this ahead of your visit would help, otherwise just take your time to enjoy it all.
