The baker, fishmonger, grocer and butcher all come to the site and there is a few small local conveniences to top up supplies. The owner has lived in England. She was very informative about the local area. Was quite during the week in early July but the beach was busy with locals at the weekend, which made for a good atmosphere. A good base for visiting the less touristy southern part of Sicily. Scicli well worth a day trip. If you watched Montalbano on tv, this area is where it was based. If I ever drive down to Italy again, would certainly spend time here.
