We booked a tasting with this winery, which is located in a quiet down, with served in a nice room with 2 long tables, that hold around 30 people each. Everything was great up until a bus full of German tourists arrived and suddenly there was an accordionist playing jolly tunes (which sounded incredibly loud in the low-ceiling room) and the host introduced the winery and the varieties in German, despite not doing the same for us in English. The we tried was really nice, but the overall experience was loud and quite "touristy". According to the host, they have groups arriving up to three times a day, so if you are a small group of travellers, have that in mind. Nice and very warm welcome people. Good place to visit Nice place, wonderful views and pleasant tasting accompanied with a touch of local cheese, prosciutto and sweets. Muscat is really nice, Malvasia, dry white wine, is also fresh and flavored. The hosts did a great tour with us through the old and new keller, ending up in the tasting room with prosciutto and cheese where they told us about every sort. My favourite is definitely muskat or dessert wine. Must try it! The definitive bonus is a great accordion play. We came from Rabac and had this as recommendation. Wow what a wonderful experience we had today. Wines were amaizing and the owner his family and staff were so friendly. A good tip to go to when you are in Istria. Hidden gem winery with excellent wines. Their Malvazija Istarska is the perfect summer wine. If you’re visiting for a tasting, try their mistle toe schnaps (Biska), and their version of Teranino (Il Bacio) too. Very friendly and helpful staff. Baćac Winery is definitely worth a stop. Wonderful experience at Baćac Vineyard & Winery! The selection of white, red, rose & dessert wines typical to Istria really made us wake up to the potential of Croatian wine. No wonder Goran has won so many awards for his vintages. The tasting evening itself was so friendly and open. Very attentive service from the winery staff and the hosts Nikolina & Goran who joined us to make it great company. There are four generations of makers in the family and we were also privileged to meet two generations, even though Gorans dad had to get up early the next day . So in summary, we certainly enjoyed a relaxed atmosphere with fresh bread & olive oil dips and local cheeses & cold meats followed by a winery tour, seeing the process from barrel to bottle.
