We had a wonderful lunch al fresco at Restoran Dorina in the little village of Plomin. Tuna carpaccio, fish soup, fusi with truffles, Croatian gnocchi stuffed with meat, followed by a pistachio parfait. All delicious! I didn't eat here, but a very nice waiter with short blonde hair helped me get to the right bus station without saying any words. And I think that is worthy of praise. Thank you kind stranger Nice looking restaurant, but the food is overpriced for the money you pay. Most of it is from Lidl or deep cooled (freezer) fish. It's not bad, but not great either. I may not be a super truffle gourmet, but the steak in truffle sauce fabulous, not to mention the seafood was so delicious that we asked for bread to culturally taste the brilliant sauce. A beautifully located restaurant with a smiling staff, I definitely recommend. A place you will remember with a smile on your face. At the very beginning, we were pleasantly welcomed and seated on a terrace with plenty of shade, overlooking Plomin. The entire restaurant exudes a homely atmosphere and it is clear that they support local producers and ingredients. All the food was excellently prepared. From the lamp that melted in your mouth to the pljukanci with truffles and lamb ragout that were full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area. Absolutely perfect. Very friendly staff, delicious meals (we had tender and tasty steaks, medium-rare and medium, some truffles and some dessert) and a beautiful terrace with a nice view, located on a mountain. We‘ll come back at any rate! :) Absolutely lovely food, great combination of sea and forest tastes, good wine. Would recommend to stop if passing by or staying in the area.
