Very rude staff and the coffee taste is just ok... I don’t recommend this place Beautiful place, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Pet friendly too, which is always a plus Very elegant place, nice back garden, the coffee was exceptional, the cream cake was huge and soft. - The waiters were a little unhappy, but still we left with a smile. :-) The anti-smoking culture has not yet reached Croatia. It would be nice to separate a non-smoking place. 10/10 its a must visit if you are passing Lovran It's true, cakes are on best selection, coffee is splendid, place is cozy, .... BUT!..... staff is kinda careless, for so classy and pricey place. Waiter took an order and simply he didn't clean the (wet rings of glasses and spilled sugar); have bring no ashtray and I already lit the cigarette up; another waiter saw me with the cigarette (and dirty table) but ain't offer anything. Another waiter picked the glasses up from the next table, WITH FINGERS INSIDE THE GLASSES and no tray! :o Came here for a drink and before we ordered anything we asked if it's possible to pay with a card. She replied with "yes, but only if you spend 10€ or more"... Sure, no problem! When it came time to pay we couldn't pay with a card because "the terminals weren't working" seemed like bs but okay... The problem is that all ATMs in the area have a transaction fee which is quite an inconvenience. But yeah, the drinks were okay at best and the view of the other bars across the street was definitely the highlight of this experience. First of all when we asked for the menu, they asked us to take it from other tables where people were already sitting! We got an espresso when ordered a cappuccino. Food is average at best. When it comes to breakfast, the portions are rather small. Afterwards we were still hungry. Although it was tasty. The service on the other hand was horrible and rude. The waitress didn’t mention anything, before we placed the order, that the place is cash only. She was not nice at all and at the end she tided up and wiped the tables while we were still sitting there. I don’t recommend this place. Well, our didn’t have a menu, and when I tried to ask for something other than the breakfast menu, I said to the lady, “Do you have another menu? Maybe something like salads?” — just meaning anything else. She looked at me, started laughing, and walked away from our table, still laughing… 😞 What did I do wrong? I ended up looking around and asked my kid to grab a menu I had seen on another — the one that should’ve been on ours! Yes, they do have cakes too… BUT… she never came back to ask if we wanted anything else, like drinks? Super rude. Hopefully we could pay!!!..
