A Pleasant Spot with Delicious Treats, Just Needs More Hands This coffee shop boasts a lovely ambiance, both inside and out, making it a nice place to relax. The were truly delicious – a definite highlight! However, be prepared to pay a little extra for these tasty treats. The service, while friendly and apologetic, was a tad slow. This wasn't due to any fault of the lone waiter, who was clearly working incredibly hard managing everything on her own. It's evident that Maistra could significantly improve the customer experience (and likely the well-being of their staff) by hiring at least one more person to assist. Despite the slightly slower service, the overall experience was positive, thanks to the nice atmosphere and delectable cakes. With a little more staffing, this could easily be a 5-star spot. Good place , pleaser service. I ordered Eggs royal, and I didn't feel salmon.. Very rude and arrogant people working here. After asking 3x to start ordering, they came to us with a very bad manner. This wasted the food, and atmosphere at the same time. I do not recooment to come here. Awful (sorry Petra, you have much to learn about your job and about life). We ordered two pieces of cakes, two coffees and a big bottle of water. I am given a broken glass. The bottom of the glass is broken and the water is spilled over my clothes and one of the cakes. No apologies received. Other clients witness the situation which is caused by the glass probably broken by the washing machine. Fortunately we weren’t hurt. Petra refuses to serve me another cake. She just says it is not her fault, obvious, but it is not my fault neither. I have to complain to at least get a refund of the cake. Havana Strauss is a great place to get a quick bite to eat. The was excellent, the only negative things were not a lot of options and the quantity was smaller than I would have liked. But saying all that, we did go twice. We ordered homemade ice tea and iced nescaffee and both drinks were really good. Everything seems nice, nice and decent prices for drinks comparing to some other places here. The only bad thing is the view unfortunately which is just cars. 😕 maybe they should surround the terrace with some palm trees and plants to make it a bit more enjoyable and would be even better then. All and all worth for coming for a coffee 👌 The are amazing- perfect and view is great from the terrace, just waiting time for waiter is very long because there is only 1 waiter for all of the guests. The is with smile but you see that waiter is running around and she is too busy for all the guest As if this writing, this Strauss Cafe is rated 4.6, and I can’t understand why. My wife and I had a nicoise salad, a Caesar salad, avocado toast, and an egg white omelet. The omelet was fine, though oddly came with some semi-wilted iceberg lettuce sprinkled with the same goat cheese that’s was inside the omelet. The salads were a big let down. Both the nicoise and Caesar came with the same wilted iceberg lettuce as the omelet. The nicoise had a sprinkling of micro greens, but mostly iceberg, which is not a very healthy leafy vegetable. The “tuna steak” as claimed in the menu was actually 4 small pieces of over-salted and over-cooked fish which may or may not have been tuna (hard to tell, when you cook fish that long and with that much salt). The salad had lots of cheap canned green olives and what looked like French fries rather than the boiled potatoes typical in a nicoise. The Caesar salad was likewise underwhelming. The dressing resembled ranch rather than Caesar, and was just spooned on top rather than mixed with the lettuce. It was supposed to have anchovies, but rather came with pieces of bacon, which is not something I’m used to in Caesar’s. Anyways, the was decent, though the waiter didn’t visit us often. The food took a while to come out. And other than the saltiness, it was fairly bland and uninspired. I’d recommend staying away unless you’re here for coffee and a dessert.
