If you’re looking for a fun and easy getaway with (especially under 10), Dierenbos is honestly a great option. We stayed there for three days as a family, and it was just relaxed and enjoyable from the start. The staff at reception were super friendly and helpful. Most of them are quite young, but they already know what they’re doing and make you feel really welcome. As soon as you walk into the reception area, you’ll see a little restaurant, an indoor playground, and a swimming pool. The playground was a hit with our kids. The pool isn’t huge, but it’s perfect for little ones. It has a bubble bath, one big slide, and a smaller one, which kept our busy and happy. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was clean, comfortable, and had good heating and air conditioning. It was big enough for all six of us, and they didn’t charge us anything for our two-year-old, which was a surprise. They even added a baby bed for free, no hassle. You can also your car close to your cottage, which is really helpful when you’ve got little and a bunch of stuff to carry. There are animals around the park, not a ton, but just enough to keep the excited. One of the best parts was the animal care activity. Our got to feed and pet donkeys and rabbits. They absolutely loved it. It’s the kind of thing they always hope to do at a petting zoo, but never actually get the chance. So this was a big deal for them. There are other activities too, like pony rides and fishing. If you’re staying for more than a day, it’s worth joining in. Also, as a guest at Dierenbos, you get free entry to Eindhoven Zoo, Beekse Bergen Safari Park, and Speelland. That’s a huge bonus. We visited all of them and they were amazing. I’ve left reviews for those separately too. If you prefer being near the water, there are cottages by the lake. And if you’re into camping, you can do that here as well. We went with the cottage, which suited us perfectly, but it’s that there are options. All in all, it was a really good experience. The place is very relaxed and ideal for families with younger kids. If you’re thinking of taking a short break somewhere that’s not too far, not too expensive, and still packed with fun stuff for kids, I’d definitely say check it out. Big thanks to Dierenbos for making it such a lovely trip. Staff was amazing. Super nice. Really, that made the holiday a delight. I put the emphasis on that again: STAFF WAS AMAZING. 3 issues: Noisy customers who played loud music late. Pool was out for a day. Mobilhome smelled like dog pee. Beside that, great location, mood (lots of animals). We stayed here in our caravan. The is very beautiful and it is perfect for young families. The animals are fantastic and look well looked after and most staff were friendly, some younger members had rude attitudes. The WiFi is not great & the pool was broken on the day we went to use. However, I’m most annoyed that they have outsourced their bike hire. You have to use a separate website to book with another company and for us Brits, we cannot use any of the payment methods as they were all Dutch, not even Visa or Mastercard offered!? None of the staff on site could help us and we could not pay direct to the park, so we were disappointed not being able to hire any bikes. Why not have a good old-fashioned system where you can just book bikes pay for them and take them? Ridiculous - don’t advertise this if you can’t meet the service. This is why we booked this park! Sure you want to encourage customers from UK & Beyond? We suggest you improve your services. The has huge potential. Shame. Very place, calm and suitable for families with kids, lot of entertainments available with animals, bangalows are very well equiped.... There are lots of activities for children. The camping spots are good, and each camping field has its own playground equipment. If You’re Black, It’s Not for You ! If you’re Black, do NOT go. One in two people is racist, and it is just not worth your energy, especially if you are with kids. All the are jumping in the pool, but it’s only when your decide to jump that the lifeguard suddenly remembers it is forbidden to do so. If your child loses their bracelet, the reception, which is supposed to provide you with a new one, clearly shows suspicion that you’re trying to sneak someone in. You try to enjoy an evening conversation with your family at night, but security gets called because “you are too loud,” and it’s not even 10 PM; meanwhile, 100 meters away, people are having a party. ( even the security guy, a very guy btw, agreed that the call was unnecessary). We booked for a week, and from the beginning, as we were entering the site, everything was written in Dutch. From that moment, it was clear to me that the place is not very welcoming to foreigners. It turned out to be true. The place is nice, but it is really a pity that in 2025, we are still restricted and looked down upon just because of our skin color. Paying to be treated like this is unacceptable. Booked bungalow type accommodation got safari tent. Went to shop at 1730 .... already shut even though app states open until 2000. Attempted restaurant at 1730, all few tables were reserved ...... seems booking is advisable! Be aware kitchen shuts at 2000!
