A Devastating Experience for My Family I’m writing this review to share our family's painful experience with MedTim. My partner was enrolled in their rehab twice, hoping for help with his to cocaine and alcohol. Unfortunately, the outcome was nothing short of devastating. While the initial goal was to help him recover, what happened was far from healing. Instead of recovering from addiction, he ended up dependent on a cocktail of prescription pills. He was put on 14 different types of pills, administered multiple times a day, and the result was a person who was completely zombified and emotionally paralyzed for a year. He couldn’t stay awake or function, and this new to only worsened his situation. They gave him a bag full of these to take home, which had to be locked away for safety. This made it clear that the rehab process was not truly helping him regain control of his life but rather replacing one with another. He lost everything — his driver’s license, his job, and ultimately, our family. When he was later checked by a doctor in Slovenia, we learned that he was on four times the maximum Slovenian dosage for some od the medication he had been prescribed at MedTim. This revelation was a huge shock and confirmed our fears that this was doing more harm than good. Not to mention the exorbitant cost. The itself costs €10,000, but that’s just the beginning. Add in the monthly airfare, ongoing medication costs of €250/month, and various other hidden fees, and it becomes clear that this is not an affordable option. The pricing for medications was especially frustrating. They also sell under the label "favor" on the bill, meaning the price fluctuated. There were times when we paid more for fewer pills, which felt like a scam. Also selling "alcohol blocker" — a 0.7ml bottle of medicine sold for €130 at MedTim, which can be bought for just €7 elsewhere with a prescription that caused only slight redness when activated with alcohol. To make matters worse, while he was staying at MedTim, they had a bedbug infestation. They isolated and washed all his clothes, but it wasn’t properly taken care of. As a result, he brought the bedbugs back home with him. This caused us an additional €700 in expenses to chemically treat our flat, car, and clothes to get rid of the infestation. I feel devastated that we trusted MedTim with my partner’s well-being, only to see them take advantage of our situation financially and emotionally. Instead of healing, this has caused irreparable damage to his health and our family. I would not recommend this rehab center to anyone, and I urge others to be cautious when seeking help for addiction!
