I have to be honest, I was not expecting to find a bar with a Japanese owner in the heart of the beautiful village of Barbaresco. A pleasant surprise, indeed. We enjoyed a simple, but tasty lunch at the beautiful en spacious terrace of Koki bar. We started our meal with some takoyaki, one of my favorite Japanse specialties. As a main course I had a lovely and very fresh insalata mediterranea. The I ordered was also very nice. The list offered a beautiful variation of some lovely Italian wines. Would definitely go back for dinner and would love to try some of the saké on the drink menu. Excellent place for a glas of high quality wine. For many years I liked this bar. Today I wanted to order a glas of wine. The waiter asked me to scan the QR Code for getting the electronic menue. It took long time to load it. My lady have tried it with another network provider. Again it took minutes. Finally I only could find bottles.... We have left. Why not just to talk to each other. I love this place!! Incredibile food quality and top wines!! We spent 2 nights in Barbaresco. Both evenings, we ended up here. Super cozy place and very friendly service. We ordered some small dishes and stayed for a long time both evenings. What a fantastic place to take a break! We enjoyed excellent wines, wonderfully prepared food, and incredibly friendly service. Everything was served with great care and attention, and the atmosphere was relaxed and full of charm.
