I wanted to commend Alex for the brilliant job she did in explaining the history and the heritage of the winery and how it links to 5 generations of the Pyrgos family and the once prominent and beloved queen of Greece, Amalia. I also want to thank the family for maintaining the and opening to the public such remarkable history. The wines I tasted at the estate are among the best I’ve had in my trip in Athens and travelled back with 3 bottles of my fave white and red wines. And you cannot have a with out pairing with Greek cheese, ham and pastries. All in all, it was a memorable day and I look forward to travelling back there again. Time well spent !
