A very relaxed bar which was lovely as a pitstop on a sunny day, after a walk around the park. They sell light snacks as well as larger meals. Hyggeligt med god betjening, fik kun drinks. “Not Quite the Atmosphere I Expected” Cafe Svejk left me feeling a bit unhappy and unimpressed. The place seems to attract a rowdy crowd, almost giving off a hooligan vibe, which was a surprise. I’ll definitely have to think twice before coming back. 2 stars. Amazing place! I’ve been here a few times already and every time has been nice. Outdoor and indoor seating available and quite a amount as well. Public transport is easy to get here, parking is as usual on the street if you’re fortunate. Food is good! I’ve had the nachos and fish&chips, delicious. Will be coming again. Brilliant Czech bar in the heart of Fredericksburg. A spot for an afternoon on their outdoor terrace, in the shadow of Fredericksburg gardens. The inside of the bar is cozy, warm and inviting. Everything was great, but do trust me and go for the pickled herring thing. It’s tangy and bursting with flavor. Pairs beautifully with the earthiness of the rye bread. Some people think it’s too intense but hey it’s traditional. The bacon one was too. Amazing textures all around was great, food was not. Wouldn’t eat here again but the beers are for drinking. We ordered the goulash which was dry and chewy and without much flavour. My partner had the schnitzel which is not an authentic Czech preparation. Definitely a place to drink. The fish and chips looked though. If you’re coming here. Try that. My sunny spot for nice casual food and drinks They have some Czech and the location is amazing, but the food is hit and miss. I once had very decent chicken wings here and ordered them today again, but this time they were extremely overdone (almost charred) and way too salty. Stumbled upon this place by chance, having taken a few wrong turns in search of an Irish bar. Turns out the owner of this place is Irish (as was the person behind the bar) and has one of the best Irish whiskey selections I’ve seen outside of Ireland. Outstanding and just a very nice vibe! This café has been our go-to spot in Frederiksberg for a few years now, and it never disappoints.
