Popped on here for food on our trip in donegal , have to see its a great spot with a great feel to it. Food menu had bit on it and reasonably priced. Wish we had been staying nearer to it to go back during our stay but we def will be returning next time we're in this area again. Super great food at a great price! Recommend the seafood chowder, the Guinness pie, the carbonara, the ham/turkey roast, lasagna, and the chicken curry! Desserts are definitely skippable, though. The service was top notch. The food was really and plenty of options for a tourist to love. Confirmed booking online, but reservation not noted when we arrived, but were seated quickly Tapas night, so ordered serval dishes. Not particularly Spanish,, bit generous plates of food, which were hot and freshly prepared and cooked. Service is slow, but who cares when you are enjoying food. Lovely atmosphere, very nice staff and choice of food! Would recommend for anyone in the area! The bar is huge with big concert/function area so can accommodate a lot of people, but still has very cool vibe about it and service is really good. I was actually surprised with the food, it was really tasty, nicely served and more than enough to feed you. Desserts are just ok, not mad about them, but will absolutely return for food and drinks (good selection of wines to go with dinner). We've been in the pub before for drinks only and also enjoyed it, it is one of the better pubs around. Food tasty Guinness good Enjoyed the music Prices reasonable Service friendly but pretty poor - consistently getting things wrong across multiple visits here Tasty, hearty food. Plenty of choice and reasonable. I had the steak sandwich with pepper sauce, so nice! We went here as a group of families with adults, teens and kids. Clean plates all round. Highly recommend My partner and I stopped here during winter time and for a cold country, this place had warm energy (physically and emotionally speaking). Anita (forgive me for spelling) was accomodating and friendly, gosh what a sweet soul! AND THE FOOD!!! Fantastically flavourful. I had the bangers and mash, my partner had the salt ‘n chilli snack box (came with a curry sauce… yum). And the Guinness was creamy, poured well by Anita (already drank it before I took the photo, my apologies). The aesthetics was unique but had a modern, country twist to Irish pubs. If you’re from Australia, it’s like an Irish version of a roadhouse. Anyways, highly recommend. Thank you for having us! Touristy pub pretending to be Irish, but not authentic at all. My €11 cocktail was mostly ice, barely any drink. Food was just okay, (kudos for having a vegan option) my vegan burger was fine but the chips were soggy, and my husband’s burger tasted like a reheated Rustlers. Service was poor. No one came to clear the plates, I had to ask. When they finally did, a pot of red sauce accidentally spilled all over my white runner. Accidents happen, but the server just left tissues and disappeared. No apology, no wet cloth, no offer of anything else. I had to go clean it myself in the bathroom, and the sauce was still on the floor. Overall, average food, and very inattentive service. Won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend. We had a hen party here last weekend, and the service we received was fantastic. The staff could not have done more for us & were incredibly friendly. A special word of thanks to Aaron for his help & patience! One of her hens had a dietary requirement which I forgot to mention and a new meal appeared for her within 5 mins. Excellent!
