The food in the mehana was very good. Prices are normal. Service was ok. The rooms in the hut/hotel part were clean and there was hot water in the bathroom. The area around the mehana is not very clean, the river also, which leaves an unpleasant feeling. Try the local specialty 'Zdreloto' - a baked dish with chicken meat, mashed potatoes and roasted cheese on top - goes very well with the beer :) One of the few places to eat in the region. Prices are little bit higher for "in the middle of nowhere- restaurant" and the food they offer. The restaurant has two separate spaces. I recommend the new one with the french windows. Mind that they allow smoking there and it's hard to breathe there if you not a smoker. Old, worn out, dirty, extremely cold and literally no service. We booked a private twin room and it was located at the end of a sleeping dorm with no lock on the door. There’s a restaurant located at the same property- when we arrived we asked at what time they close - 10pm he replied - we came back at 8pm, and the place was completely deserted and the restaurant was closed. we didn’t have a car and had no food - so we shared a Lion bar for dinner and woke up cold and hungry. The absolutely only reason why you should book this place is, if you’re travelling between Sofia and Serbia, and it’s the only affordable place on the way. I was looking forward to this place. Unfortunately they were quite full and staff was extremely slow to clean tables or even acknowledge new customers. After sitting at the table for 20 minutes which was full of previous customers dishes, and not a word from staff they they will be on the way to clean it, we decided to go. We went to Grill House which is located nearby in remote area. Great food and staff is brilliant. Highly recommend! The service was extremely poor. There was only one server for over 10 tables, each with at least 6 people. It took a very long time to be served, and it was impossible to place additional orders. Took over 1 hr to bring the french fries, half of the order was forgotten. Never again. The table wasn't as clean as it should be. The service is bad as almost everywhere in Bulgaria. The restaurant owner should invest in a real training. I had to wait an eternity until someone paid me any attention. The waitress scouted at me why I didn't call. Храната беше наистина добра, а цените – супер нормални, даже направо евтини. Но обслужването… пълна трагедия. Всички сервитьорки се държаха все едно им пречим, супер грубо, а чакахме сигурно над 40 минути, за да ни донесат нещо. И когато най-накрая го донесоха – всичко беше студено. Картофите бяха вкусни, но в порцията имаше бая такива, които бяха зелено-черни и не ставаха за ядене – поне 20% от тях. Честно казано, колкото и да беше ок храната, цялото чакане и отношението развалиха всичко. Не мисля, че бих повторил. Сръбска музика и страхотна сръбска скара! Наядохме се като говеда! 😂 Доста сме разочаровани ! Група от 4-ма чакахме близо 2 часа да ни завършат поръчката. Час и малко чакахме да дойде дори и салатата под предтекст, че "имат резервации и се бавят поради което". Крем карамел поръчахме за десерт, казаха ни, че ще дойде, но не. Междувременно хора, които бяха седнали след нас, си получиха десерта, но на нас ни казаха, че бил свършил. Сервират не по ред, а каквото излезе от кухнята. Пърленките ги поръчахме още в началото, дойдоха на 2-рия час затоплени и се чупеха на трохи, не като пресен хляб. Пицата също ни дойде на 2-рия час, след като се оплакахме, иначе сигурно щеше да дойде вечерта. Заключавам, че заведението има капацитет от маси, които НЕ МОЖЕ да обслужи и побърква персонала си.
