There was a description placard on the wall of a cafe but the English translation made it difficult to appreciate - why don't local authorities get their translations proof read by a mother tongue English speaker before they go to the expense of printing and sign manufacture? I wonder if the German translation was as bad. 10 year old Google translate is not good enough. Still small, traditional hill top town well worth a visit. Starting on the bronze age, built by romans, christians and muslims… worth a visit! Amazing Panoramic view of Medina and the places nearby. The place needs around 1 hour max to see. Just go to enjoy the view. Learn the history of the castle which goes back to the Roman period,Moors etc. Medina Sidonia is a beautiful small very old historic town, the castle and the cathedral are wonderful Amazing view! About castle restaurant: Delicious food and very nice and helpful staff. Big portions and average prices. Vegan options limited to rice with vegetables and vegetable salad. This meal was awesome!!
