We visited during the winter and had an incredible experience. The food was very good, and the service was extremely friendly. However, the highlight of our visit was the thrilling adventure of riding up the mountain on a snow motorcycle. After dinner, we had an exhilarating descent downhill on basic sleds in the dark. Wow, what a feeling! This unforgettable experience is a must-try for anyone seeking excitement and unique winter fun. The Hütte is beautiful and new. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Food is amazing Getting to the location is a lot of fun. It's located in the middle of nowhere, and you either hike or take a snow taxi. The food was incredible, I enjoyed the braten with Sauerkraut and knödel. The rooms are simple, bunk beds, and there wasn't a bathroom attached. You share it with multiple rooms. The shared bathrooms seem newly renovated. There was only one power outlet in our room. I would also advice you to bring your own pair of indoor slippers, as you aren't allowed to use street shoes in the sleeping areas. The 2hr hike to this cottage was definitely worth it. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant, schnitzel was amazing. We also got sleds for free because we have bought food. Sledding down the hill was a lot of fun! We went for a e-bike ride, we managed to charge the bikes without any problems. Many thanks to the staff. Food was decent not bad, but not the best, in the hut everything looks very nice and cozy , you can chill and then go down by sledges which was really cool, overall a good experience, would come again. Hut is easy accessible by hike or snow boots/ skies in the winter. The staff is very friendly, helpful and thoughtful. The kitchen is excellent (Kaiserschmarrn ☝️) and the prices are also very reasonable. We stayed there for 1 night, the hut was refurbished 2 years ago and everything is clean and comfy. You can also borrow sledges and take a ride with a pickup taxi. Looking forward to come back :) Overall an extremely unpleasant waste of money. They overbooked a time slot for sledding and left us waiting in the middle of nowhere in -10 degrees for half an hour (mind you parking is paid per hour) even though we had called to reserve it the day before. Do not go after sundown as the track has no lights and they do not provide you with any flashlights (they can sell them to you though lol). I was very excited to do it but unfortunately it was a massive let down.
