They do not give any sheets (for that price i would expect they should), and you are not allowed to sit on bench without a towel. A worker periodically checks users to remind of "no skin on wood". The overall with the facility is mixed at best, hence 3 stars) If you are with your kids it is nothing special for the children area is pretty small. But if you go alone or in company it is beautiful. You can enjoy the surroundings while you swimming in the outdoor termal or sports Swimmingpool. Also you can jump in after a day on the skies. Just perfekt. For €30 you get 3 hours in the bath and the wellness. It is more than worth it. I have deducted a star for we have been with our child on that day and I had to come up with the games. Usually a small slide does the trick. 😅 Last week, we visited Felsentherme Bad Gastein, and to put it simply, it’s a tourist trap. While it’s heavily advertised as one of the main attractions in the region, our was far from enjoyable. Having visited natural hot baths in Slovakia, I can confidently say Felsentherme doesn’t come close in terms of quality or atmosphere. Thermal Baths: The outdoor pools were barely warm, and the bubbling jets only activated every 15 minutes or so. This made it unpleasant to stay in the water for long, as you quickly started feeling cold. For a place marketed as a spa, the water temperature and overall were disappointing. Sauna Area: The area deserves its own critique. It’s a nudist-only space for reasons that are not entirely clear. Swimwear of any kind is strictly prohibited, which felt unnecessary and off-putting. While this might be a cultural norm, the mixed-gender saunas combined with the overwhelming presence of older men created an uncomfortable atmosphere. My girlfriend and I decided to try one of the saunas with a nice view, but it was crowded with at least 15 older men. For me, it was tolerable, albeit awkward, but for my girlfriend, it was outright distressing. Being the only young woman in the sauna, she felt the unwelcome stares, and to make matters worse, a naked man decided to “stretch” right in front of the window, just 50 cm away from us. The whole situation felt bizarre and unsettling. Overall: Felsentherme is a disappointing experience. The baths aren’t warm enough, and the rules feel outdated and unwelcoming to newcomers, particularly younger visitors or couples. In my country, even the most basic pools and spas offer better facilities than this so-called “gem.” THIS IS ONLY FOR THE GYM! Avoid if u can, find somewhere else to train. The gym is of the lowest possible quality. For the almost 80€ price for one moth I would expect a better equipped gym and equipment of higher quality. Everything is 20 year old technogym so if u know anything about training u know these machines aren't the greatest. For the 80€ price I would expect elico and better stuff. So to recap. Avoid if possible and if u can't u just need to swallow the 80€. Literally jump in to the pool from the slopes;) For me the wasser could be warmer, but thats my personal opinion. Staff is friendly and kind and helpful, the facility is clean and you easily loose yourself for half of your day indulging in all offerings of the therme. Enjoy the restaurant on top also good kitchen and friendly staff. Outside pool let you have this awesome ambient around. I only wish there would be a small pool with real hot water, as you find it in every therme in Hungary🤷🏼‍♀️ The water both inside and outside was way to cold barely 30 degrees. The water is supposed to be around 42 degrees. I believe that’s what you need in order to relax. They have a lot of saunas and relaxing areas but remember it’s a nudist area and they are very strict about that. Best to bring your own towel otherwise you have to pay for it. They don’t have shampoo or conditioner. The equipment looks like it has survived several eras – if you’re looking for an authentic early 2000s gym experience, you’ve found it. Half of the machines are broken, and the other half are probably just waiting their turn. Cleanliness is acceptable, but the overall atmosphere is anything but motivating. The layout? A complete mystery, as if someone who has never set foot in a gym was given full control over the floor plan. Machines are crammed together with no logic, making every workout feel like an obstacle course. To make matters worse, a significant number of visitors seem to have a personal vendetta against deodorant. The air is thick with the raw, unfiltered essence of sweat, which adds an extra layer of challenge to every workout—if you can even focus through the stench. The only positive? The staff is genuinely friendly and does their best to compensate for the gym’s many shortcomings. Too bad their enthusiasm can’t bring this fitness museum back to life. And now, the cherry on top – this is the most expensive gym I’ve ever been to! That would be understandable if they offered top-tier facilities… but instead, you get an that feels like a neglected hotel gym, just at the price of a luxury fitness club.
