Food was not good but the staff were grand The food here is absolutely fantastic, and the pub itself has great potential. Unfortunately, the atmosphere is let down by the clientele particularly at weekends. It’s a shame, as it could be a lovely spot for families, but the crowd tends to be rowdy, even in the middle of the afternoon. On a recent Sunday at 3pm, we were bothered while trying to enjoy a quiet dinner. Not ideal if you're looking for a relaxed, family-friendly environment. The music was wayy too loud too on a Sunday afternoon 😂 A real disappoint in Carrick!! Highly recommended We were here for lunch it was only gorgeous and so reasonably priced we had turkey and ham which was only 12 Euro and we had beef stew which was gorgeous also only 12 Euro 3rd time here, ordered a gin and tonic and was told there was no gin glasses. What kind of pub has no gin glasses. We were told there was one and it was dirty. Poor for such an establishment. Stopped in with family for a bite to eat. Staff was very friendly, the girl who served us was very warm and welcoming. The food was disappointing. Thr childs goujons and chips came with 2 goujons and a handful of chips. The burger didn't look very appetising and everyone's chips were overdone. The chicken curry was OK. Overall if was overpriced for what we got. The food really let the place down, as otherwise it came across as a nice family friendly spot. Flies were a big issue too.
