This is the first I’ve use the Pilar ITV and they were very quick and efficient. I had to delay my pre-booked and that was no trouble at all. The location is easy to find and no queuing - I did book on line for an evening visit, so maybe quieter than day We arrived at 4:30 pm , got seen straightaway and by 4:45pm was out of there with a new ITV. Staff was okay, a bit dry but not rude. Great quick service. In and out with ITV in no at all. First of getting ITV on car, normally pay garage to look at and take car. Fist go into the office with vehicle documents, leaving the car in the car park. The man checks documents and provides for you to hand to the tester, you pay money for the test, I paid €41.47 for 1200cc petrol car. Go get car, drive to entrance shutters and wait to be called. You hand documents to tester, stopping as instructed, then he asks you to test all the lights whilst he walks around car. He asks you to go to end of shed and sit down on chair, whilst he checks emissions, horn etc. Then calls you back to car and you drive it foward with front wheels on rolling road. He goes into pit under you and checks underside, he will ask you to apply brackets and wiggle the steering wheel from side to side. Then asks to drive forward with rear wheels on rolling road and apply handbrake etc. Then hw appears from pit under car and tells you whether it passed or failed (all in Spanish of course) He then does the and gives you the itv sticker for windscreen and the pass document, then off you toddle. Top tip, take someone who speaks some Spanish as the instructions for brakes and steering checks require you to do as he says, luckily a customer jumped in front of me and gave me hand signals of what I should be doing !! (Thank You Sir) My first taking my car for itv. I hadn't made an but went early morning. Lovely girl on reception sorted the and within 20 minutes, mechanics had itv done and certified. Super efficient from start to finish OK but midgt was down so could not itv my car. Had to return a few hours later when system back up. Friendly staff honoured my as it hit very busy after 12pm. Good service. Very fast efficient , and a little nostalgic it was like going back to the 1980s as the place could benefit a face lift , Great place to get your ITV tag. It’s a small operation away from the city centre and the wait is never long if you have already made an appointment. No problems. I made an on-line but it was very quiet anyway. Even though anxious about language barrier, paperwork, queues and expected long wait I was pleasantly surprised. Went in office where a lovely girl asked for paperwork, she spoke very good English. Sorted I drove around the back. Then a nice lad, fair English told me to indicate, lights etc. Then he takes the car and you wait out front. A couple more assisted tests on suspension then I got my back and I was done 15mins start to finish and I was the only customer! Don't expect that in Summer. So easy, I recommend doing it yourself.
