We brought our caravan here for our very first Continental Tour in June 2013. Friendly site that is evidently popular with the Dutch, situated just behind the sandbanks and sea. Probably the cleanest toilets and washing facilities in the World, with perpetual cleaning by friendly staff. Nice size pitches and good open aspects without shady trees. Lovely walk along the on fine white sands. Super! Campsite, part of a chain. Two minutes walk from the beach. The campsite has lots of different size pitches - grassy. Minimal shade. Quiet & lots of private pitches. There are plenty of showers - although to have a pay a very fee to use them but I have found them not to be hot sometimes - which is a shame when you're actually paying to use them. Onsite, there's a shop, children's play area, car, restaurant & snack bar. Excellent family campsite & would be a 5 star with constantly got showers. Update: The staff informed me there had been a problem with the showers for a couple days. After my first few days the showers were hot - so nudged up to 5 star! Very nice camping site - an professionally managed. We stayed for a week in one of the houses and it was really a lovely experience. All comforts were there and the views obviously magnificent. We had one of these marvelous houses. Those tiny houses are located ON the beach. At high tide it's only a few steps to the surf. An incredible spot to stay. The have a full window front to the beach, so if you leave the curtains open you can enjoy the sunset in your bed and will be waken up by the sound of the breaking waves. The is quite small, but has a genius room concept. But you will get into trouble if you miss to keep the room tidy. Anyway, that's a problem with any tiny house. For two guests it was really fine, in case of five guests (additional 3 young adults!!!) it became quite cozy. The was perfectly clean, the luggage transport works fine and most of all: The team is really nice and helpful. We will come back!!! We showed up spontaneously. Very quick check in, friendly people at the reception. The sanitation facilities were clean, not crowded and very spacious; tent pitch was good, more than enough room. Breakfast offer was also good, recommended! The short walk to the is another plus. Very serene place to be if you want to escape life a bit. Highly recommend coming here with a bike cause it’s literally a paradise for biking, the bike lanes are almost to infinity, and very good roads too, leading you to different cool spots, such as different camping sites, restaurants, sea sighting, etc. Though I’d say the only negative if I’m being a bit nitpicky is the fact that the convenience shop inside this camping site closes quite early, at 5:30pm, so if you have last minute grocery to do, you’re out of luck. The other grocery shop you can find nearby is a Spark, which is around 17min from here by bike and it also closes early at 6pm. So you better arrive ready with foods and anything you might need for your first night at least. But.. I enjoy the on site convenience shop here, it’s rather but it’s complete with whatever you might be missing from your camping gear. From foods/snacks to ingredients, board/card/drinking games, outdoor toys, kitchen utensils, first aid kit and manicure set, etc. It’s very organized and optimized here, it’s very and very calm too, no annoying people with their loud music on at night. This was a great pet friendly holiday park Close to the sea with loads of family fun! The cabins where simple and perfect. Don't forget to pack coffee pads, bring towels and soap etc. There is a dishwasher, microwave and senseo coffee machine. Basic kitchen utensils. Water pressure excellent! Very hygienic and clean. The only min point was that the field was a swamp! They really need to work on field irrigation and drainage. Because we kept trekking dirt into the cabin. What a wonderful place to stay with great staff and great cabins Staff is okey, the houses are decently but.. We had an issue in the that did not get fixed, the bathroom was frustratingly and anyone above average body size probably can't use it comfortably. The fridge is a bit of a struggle and the WiFi is very over priced but due to the bad network coverage of mobile providers they get away with it. The beds... The beds are a true issue, their metal beds I last seen on girl scouts summer camp in 1997, there is no 2 person bed but two kid beds pushed together. The houses we had had to little storage space for clothes, the storage were shoe cabinets to safe space, I can't imagine actually having kids in this with the amount of storage. For kids it seems great, lot of space, play opportunity and things to do in the area. Dogs are allowed, which is nice, but there is very little to do with them. No off leash area's besides the beach, for a few hours a day during summer. They're not welcome on leash in quite a bit of nature hike areas. There is no play pen area for the dogs at the park, I was told they used to have this but no one cleaned up their dogs mess. But for the price you pay per dog per night you'd think they could afford to get the field cleaned once a week.. seeing as the park is packed with dogs. Our dogs got extremely crancky around day 5 from the lack of social dog contact, the sand up their noses and the lack of freedom. Great location. Nice camping pitches. The store in camp has everything you need. The downside is that they charge for hot water in showers. It's 20 €cents per 3 minutes, but it does help save water. We rented one of the chalets for our family of 5. Rooms were spacious enough, the kitchen was functioning, and there are ample indoor and outdoor play areas for children and toddlers. My only real gripe was that the Internet was a little unstable - we could not get any signal from our bedroom. There is a reception and bakery where you can buy baked goods and a snack bar around the corner - which opens only from 5pm and apparently is closed when 'outside the season'. There is a laundrette with a dryer and ironing board. The is conveniently a few minutes wall away over the dune. Overall, it was a great spot for a quiet vacation away from the grinfd. We enjoyed our stay here and look forward to coming back again one day.
