The menu has a good variety , food came very quickly and it was in large portions and delicious. Prices on the lower side and nice service. Really good place! Great pub dinner here. Table service was awesome and staff were so lovely. Mozzarella sticks entree were perfect, chicken and burger great as well. The pub is a younger crowd and is the vibe, well worth stopping in at any age. Super friendly and welcoming staff and we had about 4 different members deal with us We went on a Sunday so it was a slightly different menu but still plenty of tasty options I had the Guinness stew and it was full of meat Make sure to try the garlic sauce Plenty of TV showing the football with chairs or couches in front of them Highly recommend and would be back if in the area We had a great lunch at the Dark Horse while visiting Athlone. The portions were huge and everything was very fresh. The service was excellent as well. Would definitely come back the next time we're in town! Has a good variety of different foods, quick and nice service. I love the atmosphere! Had pool tables, lots of seating and TVs. Ate here for the first time and it was a lovely meal! I got the Korean brisket burger, it was quite sweet like honey but had a kick to it too. Highly highly recommend! It’s new on the menu and I’d go back again just to have it again. Upgraded to loaded fries but honestly unless you’re absolutely starving I wouldn’t recommend it as it’s quite a big portion and I had to get basically all of it in a takeaway container🫣 would’ve been filling on its own. Boyfriend got the JD burger and he said it was amazing also. All in all I would recommend! The staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was PHENOMENAL!! I had the cheese please burger which was the juiciest, most flavorful burger so far throughout my Ireland trip. They even made me an adult caprisun. You’re missing out if you don’t come here. Came in on a Saturday evening and was really impressed from the start. We were seated straight away, despite it being busy, as there were plenty of staff on hand. The place is spacious, well looked after, and has a great atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious — everything came out fresh and nicely presented. The staff were friendly, attentive, and really made the experience even better. Overall, a great night out and I’d definitely recommend it!
