I have been planning to visit this good looking little restaurant for years now, I finally had the chance to stop by. The place indeed is very charming, especially the terrace is great. They served my food pretty quick too, unfortunately it was rather mediocre. The menu card starts with a statement, something like “please note that in order to ensure even more perfect service and to be able to keep our employees we will include 10% service fee in your bill”, which is rather unusual in Hungary, though perfectly understandable after all. One leaves 10-15% tip anyway, right? However, when I received my bill I had to learn that the crew expects another 10% tip, as the one already included in the bill will be kept by the owner. Ya, right. After some pondering I did not leave extra tip, rounded up the amount and that was it. I decided I hate being ripped off. My coffee was good, thus the 2 stars, otherwise I would have given only one. Pfff... Helpful staff in a cosy environment and reasonably priced delicious meal, but do not expect haute cuisine. There were flies and bees to make our stay less enjoyable, so it may be better to reserve a table indoors even during summertime. This restaurant was recommended by my brother. Very tasty meals, with a little twist of the traditional Hungarian dishes. Our dishes were made of locally sourced meat. A have found the main course rather small hence the four star. Great service and helpful floor staff! We come to the restaurant for lunch. We ordered 3 dishes. Chicken, pork and duck. 3 of them were absolutely perfect. The duck was soft and super tasty. Best Restaurant in the region, simple as that! We come here regularly while visiting our weekend house by Lake Balaton. Their ‘regular’ menu is already special, however today’s Picanha Steak was 10+++/10. I higly recommend it to all who likes local hungarian cuisine with a western twist. Friendly place, reasonable prices. You can find plenty options to ease your hunger with tasty Hungarian cousine with a little touch which makes it more local. The food was good with not low but reasonable pricing. They add 10% of service fee to the prices, but that is described on the first page of the menu, so no surprises. The service and the waiters could be better, but nothing serious. When we were driving through the countryside, chased by hunger, we did not expect much as it was a small village. Nonetheless, I was positively astonished about the food quality, the menu and the cosy atmosphere offered, with both traditional Hungarian dishes and healthier options provided.
