Stopped off at the Stockgrove entrance and had a short via the Sundial, Lake and Bakers Wood. There's a real mix of trees and terrain here. A lot to see if you want to look at nature with a mix of paths. Dogs are welcomed but take notes of the signs for where control or leads are expected. The small visitor center at this entrance had a good selection of drinks, toasties, butties and burgers. Lots of information signs as well as toilets. The carpark has barriers linked to Automatic Numbers Plate Recognition, pay before you leave Had a amazing here. Huge woods which goes off heath and reach. Right by the a5 for people who want to visit. It has a cafe with indoor seating, the food is great. The chips are absolutely delicious. Big, beautiful, muddy walk! Wonderful to clear out those cobwebs, get fresh air and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the woods! Great outdoor space with lots of amenities. Well signposted walls, trails dedicated to bikes and lots of places to stop and take in the view and surroundings. Lots of information boards dotted around with info about the location and the surroundings. Great day out for everyone It's really lovely to around. Some parts are buggy friendly too, which we will remember for next time! Lake was very beautiful on a sunny day, not supposed to feed the ducks (even though some were), so that's something to highlight if you take little ones. Lots of benches are available near the front entrance and plenty of grassy areas to set up for a picnic. Removing your own rubbish is preferable as it's a charity run park. We enjoyed ice cream, coffee and their bacon and egg baguettes were delicious. This is the one with the smaller car park. There's another entrance that has a much larger one and a different entrance. The roads leading to it do have several pot holes but I don't feel its fair to lay blame for this on the park as its surely a council issue? Parking is limited. The snack hole was open and there was an ice cream van when we went though so the kids were happy. Nice place that you can do both a short and long walk. One of the wonders of the world. A must do visit Rushmere Country Park is really beautiful. I love all the options and the little cafe is really nice. Usually there’s an ice cream van too. Toilets available. Dog friendly. Can feed the squirrels:).
