It's a short 3.5 km walk that's not too challenging (I did it with my 2-year-old), but it may not be suitable for those with a fear of heights. Along the path, there are informative stations describing the thermal springs, which added an educational aspect to the hike. The highlights included the funicular ride to collect 42°C thermal water, a picturesque suspension bridge crossing the river and a beautiful waterfall. Overall, I highly recommend Thermalquellenweg for a short nature walk, learning about thermal springs, and experiencing the hot spring water right from the source. Super zážitek! Great, but frankly there is one section - traversing a river gorge by climbing up a steel ladder that sways and has gaps between the steps - that is dangerous if you want to follow the route with small children. The risk should be more clearly indicated. I’d think twice before doing the full route with kids under 5, personally. This trail is an unforgettable adventure, not too long, but stunning and occasionally a little nerve-wracking, especially if you’re afraid of heights. The thunderous roar of the waterfall echoing through the mountains instantly brought to mind the climactic scene from The Last of the Mohicans. The panoramic views are absolutely breathtaking. Once you reach the higher path, the route forward isn’t immediately obvious since all the signs are only in German, and we had to pause and translate. From that junction: -straight ahead leads you further uphill toward a glacial lake. -to the right, you'll head back down to Leukerbad, passing peaceful benches to pause and soak in the scenery. -to the left, a delightful surpris, a restaurant awaits, perfect for refueling after the hike. The waterfall itself is truly majestic, and finishing at the restaurant feels like the perfect reward after a day of exploration. Magnifique découverte.
