The course was in very but made a lot easier than when I last played it 10 or so years ago. Very and efficient serving excellent quality food A very Open flattish course. But if the wind is up it would make the course more difficult.Due to the openness of the course & very little O/B’s you could score lots of stableford points. Some holes guarded by water, with fairway bunkers and some super 'driving' holes.Fairways, bunkers all in condition, but the green were not very receptive? Club house & pro had staff, with practise area/bunker, putting green, driving net. Can muddy in the winter months. Definitely recommended I've played here a few evenings after work lately. Lovely course and we'll prices. Greens are in too A well kept course and quite open to playing a driver or 3 to 5 woods.... Greens are quite fast. Hospitality was very as we had bacon baps before and ham, egg and chips on our return. Highly recommended.👍🏌️⛳ Such a lovely setting and views even if it is a club. Went there as part of a classic car meet/drive out and had a really excellent dinner, 2 course carvery + coffee. Very service all round. This was a pre arranged event by the car club (SVEC) and was well organised & detailed. Thanks to all those involved Was a beautiful place when I arrived. Sorry about your course now... DJ'd here recently and it's an excellent venue. Perfect for functions. Very nice staff. Great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Well presented and clean. Lovely surroundings. Highly recommend The course was in very condition, although the greens were playing a little slow on the day we played. As always the Bar and Clubhouse were very welcome to visitors and the food was excellent. Excellent well kept course. fun to play. Club house and changing facilities vg as is shop. A nice course in summer a bit heavy underfoot in the autumn. But all the are very helpful and Very welcoming course. Quite challenging for the novice golfer. Well stocked .altogether a nice day out. Fantastic course in great condition, perfect length for the average golfer will a test of skill and accuracy. Risk & reward on most holes, and a couple of very driveable par 4s.. A pleasure to play! played the course for the first time Sunday on arriving i went to pro young lad in well dressed polite and informative about the course. bar again well presented and polite willing to talk to guest at the course. course very nice lay out greens bunkers could do with some work (this is at most courses) after game i spoke to the young lad from pro even though he was with his friend still found time to talk to me an asset to the course would play again Played the lakes course today and thought it was superb. It was well maintained and the greens were slick. I found the to be very helpful and friendly, and the egg and bacon bap, was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this place. I had an excellent day, so thanks to the Gosfield team. Stunning grounds. The are welcoming and its a great place to have food, drink and a catch up. Can’t recommend this venue enough!!! Xx Unfair post really as we played the 9hole course main course looked great,nice clubhouse great bacon roll ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m new to the game of and wasn’t completely sure about taking it up, but I decided to have lessons with Helena, the pro at Gosfield Lakes – and I’m so glad I did. From the start, Helena has been an absolute superstar. She suited my style perfectly, helped me to relax, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. We had plenty of laughs along the way, and her approach has really clicked with me. She’s been incredibly helpful, even taking the time to sort out my clubs, and after just three lessons I’m already hitting the greens and absolutely loving it. I can honestly say I’m hooked on the game now – and I don’t think I’d be enjoying it nearly as much without Helena’s guidance. She’s a real credit to the club. On top of that, all of the I’ve met have been fantastic – friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Everyone around the course has been so approachable, which makes a huge difference when you’re starting out. I’m really looking forward to more lessons, playing more rounds, and becoming a member soon. A brilliant club with a brilliant pro – highly recommended! Clare and her team were absolutely amazing! They couldn’t have been more helpful and efficient and were so lovely to work with. Food was fantastic and everything went without a hitch, so professional. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Beautiful setting too. All I can say is book, you won’t be disappointed!
