Nice secluded swimms.the only down sides there was a lot of fluff on the water which had to keep being removed from the lines and the tackle wasn't open. The 3 carp i caught were of a size and in excellent condition I've fished here a few times and enjoyed some catches. Was a little disappointed today as many of the swims in Hobbs Croft were unfishable due to trees and bushes not being cut back so would have been impossible to use a rod. Also there are lots of branches and twigs in the margins of the swims that my friend and I used today, so ended up catching twigs etc inadvertently. If I'd had my rake I would have cleared a few out myself. Can't fault the facilities and the staff are super friendly and helpful. The is also dog friendly which is quite rare for fisheries so I will definitely be back with Lola who enjoyed being out all day with us fishing. Lovely lakes, have had my PB from Fennes ✅ Go midweek and you may be the only one on the lake! 😍 Weather was to hot was not bitting in swim 17 4rods out one in 3 days but fishery was nice toilet was nice clean would need to try again when weather not so hot More bird life then had my rods wiped out in 2 hours of being there by invasive species of geese. Booking system is stupid should be to the not a swim so it's easy to move instead of the hassle it is . Won't be back . Top fishing venue, three different lakes all with plenty of fish, on site toilets and a with plenty of parking. Have to say the group of us that fished this have been disappointed. The double swims where okay for two bivy's but no where enough water to with 6 rods. Also If you're looking for a quiet to then this isn't for you. There's a wedding next door that played music all of Friday evening up until 1am Saturday morning. Then there's a shooting range nearby and could hear the guns constantly shooting all of Saturday morning/lunchtime. Eventually had some quietness Saturday Afternoon up until Sunday morning where the music started again. On the plus side the facilities were and the bailiff was welcoming, but would not this again Great place to cone and and relax. Only caught one 11lb carp in two visits but didnt dampen the experience. Will be going back soon! Brilliant well looked after lakes, fun for the kids. But also for a bend in the rod with plenty of bangers lurking around. Staff are also brilliant, very helpful and will go out of their way to make sure your needs are taken care of. The is great with plenty of tackle and bait available. 5* all day everyday Visited for 1st time at the weekend. Lovely place. James answered any questions I had and made my way to the bank. Nicely stocked tackle and toilets etc were very clean. The lakes look stunning. Couldn’t have asked for a better venue. Few people already set up and they were all very friendly, as you’d expect from the fraternity. I’m over again next week to try my luck on Hobbs. Better prepared and hoping for some bend in the rod. Given code for padlocks but no and toilets are awful Lovely sunny day and very relaxing but no-one on had a bite which was a shame Hope they are only closed for improvements as use to be our favourite fishing place but nay have to go elsewhere Great fishing with 3 well looked after lakes to choose from. A well equipped on site with lots of tackle and baits to choose from. The staff are very friendly and happy to give advice. Toilets and food also available on site. My Son and I have been fishing here many times and will continue too. They also have an up to date Facebook page with lots of anglers experiences from week to week with lots of pictures and comments, any questions you may have are answered very quickly.
