Not for me I'm afraid, poor course in need of investment. Greens are in a bit of a state,, fairway enough,but if you are of fairway,you are immediately into deep rough. Very hilly too so not great if you are pulling a trolley around. Hire a buggy and you have to leave it behind for 4 holes ??. You certainly get what you pay for. Such a shame as the course is interesting and challenging. Attending a birthday party here. Lovely venue, beautiful surroundings Small club house bar serving food and beverage. Can be quite a wait if busy. Ample parking. Large terrace. Course condition variable. It's a long hilly course with small greens. Single buggies only. Fairways mostly ok, greens not in shape. The long dry spell has no doubt been a factor. The course has improved a lot since last year but there are still some issues that need to be addressed to make this value for money. In particular the greens, which are covered in weeds and holes, need serious attention Wow what a great game to play, 1st time playing padle, court was good, lighting, very sweaty, in the bar afterwards for a social didn't have my own padle bat, rented one from the bar for £3, definitely recommend it, we've booked a court for next Tuesday. Padel courts are fantastic- just a little pricey compared to Maldon. Plus no roof is gonna be a shame on winter Very challenging course! Very well maintained all round. Greens are in great condition. Club house has a bar,toilets and does lovly food. Also has a driving range and footgolf which is great for the kids and adults Great fun. The grass had been mowed to keep it playable but left on the fairways so it was a little difficult to get accurate shots. But as none of us could kick a ball accurately on a perfect pitch it didn't ruin our fun. Would be a bit disappointing had we been playing competitively. Me and a group of friends love the game of Padel and we travel up to an hour for a game a couple times a week, unfortunately Notley Padel is not welcoming for the public as I have had 2 unfortunate experiences 1 being that it was heavy rain and they refused to refund me stating that it’s an all weather court and the 2nd time I tried to cancel with more then 48 hours notice due to family issues but to find out the cancellation policy is 4 days which is unheard of. They are set up just to line their pocket and don’t have any customer service skill set. There was no way the game could be played in the rain due to safety reasons and furthermore they charge premium rates without even having a roof over the courts. I would understand playing in the rain if there was cover but nothing. I would strongly advise not picking this venue if you are not 100% able to play as you WILL NOT get refunded. If I could of chose 0 star rating then I would have but unfortunately that’s not an option. Excellent value, one of the cheapest clubs in Essex ,variation of holes, driving range, chipping green, putting green, friendly staff. TAKE EXTRA BALLS , you will need them . 👍 Cerys Debra and Ros were were simply amazing and put up with us all New Year’s Eve. Simply the BEST! Went there from golf now. Was a great deal and nice course. Lots of hills involved though for people wanting a flat course. Definitely will go again Played here yesterday to kill a few hours while the kids were at the shopping village. For the £16.50 Saturday green fee I wasn’t expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised at how and interesting the course is. Yes you go down then back up the valley a number of times but there is enough verity in the holes to keep it interesting. The greens were mostly with a few patches of damage, considering the recent weather I couldn’t really fault them. This was up there with the best value round of golf I’ve played. Awful experience. The owner is aggressive and completely unprofessional. I paid hundreds for an “unlimited range” membership, but when I asked for balls, he refused to give me any. I’m now having to take legal action just to get my money back. The course itself is in terrible condition, bridges are falling apart and they’ve patched the cart paths with old carpets, which looks cheap and unsafe. Avoid this place at all costs. Great staff , lovely golf course . Went there on an extremely rainy Sunday to play with my son but could only play nine holes due to the weather . First off the staff their lent me a carry bag as trolleys weren’t allowed then secondly cos I’d travelled over two hours to meet up with my son they gave me a free voucher to come back another time when the weathers better .
