Great find that was recommended to us by our neighbor. Very unassuming front entrance, but don’t be deceived…this place is big and spacious and awesome. A nice full bar with Franciscan Well Chieftan IPA on draft! We were there for the All-Ireland final and there were big screens in the back with which to watch. Big spacious back patio that is perfect for a sunny summer’s day. They sometimes have live music and plenty of space for kids. The food was quite tasty and really enjoyed the multiple bar locations and offerings. We will definitely be back. Food is just beautiful, our server Michelle was an absolute star! She was so lovely and so with my son who has ASD. We've been in a few times for food. Fish and chips are beautiful, my absolute favorite is the hot wings and blue cheese dip- sensational! We shared the rock pizza last night it was beautiful too. As I said iv been a few times and it's never hit or miss it's always on point. It's a hidden treasure in Cloyne. And on a rare occasion I do go out it's a brilliant night out too! Delicious food, great ambiance. There's a pub withpool table in the front, and a restaurant dining in the back. Also includes garden restaurant. Fish and Chips was very good. The Rock Pub, Cloyne – absolutely fantastic! A very special thank you to Michelle and Martin. We booked the evening before our wedding for food and drinks as our wedding party was arriving from Dublin. We wanted somewhere with food and a lively, welcoming atmosphere to set the tone for the weekend ahead — and the Rock Pub delivered perfectly. There was a small hiccup with a misunderstanding about our booking time and when the kitchen closed, which could have been a disaster, but Michelle handled the situation with calm, understanding, and complete control. Martin was an excellent barman — he makes a mean margarita! The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, and the drinks were cold and flowing. What more could you want? We returned on Sunday for a little “hair of the dog” before the second day of celebrations. People were coming and going, ordering at will, and once again Michelle and Martin were on top form, handling everything with a smile and a friendly word. Thank you so much — you helped make our weekend start so brilliantly! Omg if you don't order the featherblade of beef you are missing out! I ordered this based on other reviews and was not disappointed. It's melt-in-the mouth gorgeous! Staff were super friendly, welcoming and attentive to. Definitely recommend a stop here. Drove for close to an hour today to have a family meal at this restaurant. As it is a Sunday I check whether booking was required and it said on a couple of places online walk ins welcome. So we, 2 adults and 2 very hungry kids landed there just before 5. The place wasn't very busy so we took a left and walked into the bar and made eye contact with the staff who just kind of ignored us so we swung around and walked the other way and passed by at least 2, 4 seater tables where people were just sitting with a drink. We walked around to another bar area and asked could get get a table for something to eat. The man looked at a woman and was talking to her and then she said no sorry the kitchen will now close for an hour so no we don't have a table. I obviously was very annoyed and went outside to recheck if I had missed a sign or something and the only sign said walk ins welcome. We took our money to Ballycotton instead where we spent just under €100 quid between dinner and desert. I only went here as I had seen the food menu and it sounded nice but I wouldn't go here again unfortunately. There was no service literally. Can't comment on food as we didn't get anything. Such a disappointment after driving a spin. Walking through the doors of this cozy little gem, you’re instantly greeted by the warm, nostalgic aroma of fish and chips, with a hint of beer lingering in the air—a smell that whispers, “Relax, you’re home now.” We came as a party of four adults and two kids, and lucked out with what I’d call the dream table—beautifully lit, tastefully decorated, and perfectly set for a family feast. One glance at the menu and my choice was made. The slow-cooked beef practically leapt off the page and into my heart. What arrived was nothing short of magic: a plate crowned with roasted potatoes, parsley, and carrots, all resting on what I swear is the best homemade mashed potatoes I’ve ever tasted. The beef was so tender it laughed at the idea of a knife. One forkful and I was transported straight to childhood—think Ratatouille’s famous food-critic moment, but with gravy that deserves its own round of applause. My wife rounded off the evening with a chocolate brownie paired with vanilla ice cream—a combination so rich and indulgent that even the most discerning sweet tooth would be silenced in bliss. This isn’t just a meal; it’s a warm hug on a plate. A place where you linger a little longer, not just for the food, but for that feeling of home you didn’t know you were missing. Highly recommend. If you are a tourist avoid this location. You will be ignored, and treated as if you don’t exist. Not friendly. Owner literally grimaced at the sight of my family when I asked if the kitchen was open, bartender really made it clear she didn’t want to serve us. Originally told the kitchen was closed, then were given the opportunity to order from a limited menu. Got 2 margarita pizzas, which were just cheese and bread. Finished my beer was instantly cleared off the table, no refill offered. Local bar/restaurant only was the vibe. Just wanted to get my family dinner after traveling all day. Miserable experience.
