Old school cork chipper,,,good was lovely and hot…prices are amazing the staff are friendly and polite….keep up the great work Traditional style fish and shop. Good portion size. Decent selection. Reasonable price. Friendly service. Yummy Average take away stuff Best and ketchup hmmmmm love it I go they after work wen I can Amazing Fish n done the old school way If you haven’t been there yet…..well worth a visit……wonderful experience I travelled home to Cork for a holiday as I now live in Scotland, and Frank’s hasn’t changed one bit! From the retro arcade music that plays to the best curry sauce I have ever gotten in a chipper! We ordered the chips, curry, chicken burgers, battered sausages and the mozzarella sticks, all was perfectly cooked and tasted incredible! For the quality you would expect to pay a higher price but nope, about €20 got us this feast for 3 and I definitely forgot how filling it is! It’s not like going to your McD’s where you are hungry again soon after, Frank’s will keep you full for the night! But definitely definitely try the curry sauce! Everything can be dipped into it to mix flavours! Gotta say had this tonight and it was absolutely delicious. Not too greasy and tasty as hell. Staff so friendly and just a lovely old Irish chipper vibe. Also love the net curtains 🤣 I have tried a good few chippers in the area, as you do, but nothing comes close to Frank’s. First of all, the food isn’t bathed in grease so it doesn’t make you feel heavy afterwards. The are gorgeous, breast in the bun perfectly seasoned and the best and greatest, the Brie bites! My god, they’re amazing with the sweet chilli sauce. The chipper in surrounding areas like Glanmire and such don’t hold a candle to this place. Since the daughter came back to work there the food has been DELISH! Always loved franks chips. Had it with my dad everytime i visited. Get literally anything with there. Will not disapoint. Last time I has here was roughly about 9 months ago. I orded fish and and it came out to roughly €7. I got what is comparable to 2 large fish fingers and a small handful of chips. Cold. Only reason I didn't go back is because my mother had just gotten her COVID vaccine and I didn't want her to pass out in a hot car. A far cry from how the service was a few years ago. Disappointed, biggest cheeseburger and largest on the picture. Nothing in it , steamed, avoid please First and the last time The food is so good and the are cooked to perfection just like everything else and SO SO cheap #broke Decent old style food, prices and service. Recommended.
