We stayed here 1 night upstairs - really good. Can watch EPL and other sports here too My first visit, they were having Irish music, open mike night, which they do Mondays and Tuesdays from 8pm. Brilliant musicians and singers, Joe is an excellent host, plus everyone is very welcoming. Great Guinness, lovely staff. Proper music in the background. This was the highlight of our trip to Dungarvan. If you are there when the sign reads "traditional music tonight", do not miss it. The night we were there, the entertainers consisted of the leader and great orator, a guitar, a mandolin/flute player, a banjo player, a percussionist, and a harpist/violinist with another drop in guitarist. One of the patrons sang acapella. All sang and then everyone in the bar did, too. It was incredible! Thank you, John, for an evening never to be forgotten. Love this place. Have had such a great time singing upstairs with Joe. Has truly changed my life I mean it’s probably the most overated pub I’ve ever been to. There was a serious leak in the bathroom and my friend kindly reported it. Later on, we notice it was still there and we assumed the place irresponsibly failed to fix it. However, their bar tender approached us aggressively and ordered us to leave as his failure to fix the leak led him to believe we were the cause. He ruined our night and his arrogance prevented him from realizing that he is not a plumber. I wouldn’t feel comfortable as a patron to visit this unprofessional and disgusting establishment.
