Interesting and unique, but not really what I would consider actual art Probably i am not an ART person therefore i didnt figure out what and why these structures were there. It did not match wirh the view behind These are very ugly things to push on to people... i'm sure the "artist" got a lot of tax money for it paid by the good citizens of belgium... A very Pictureous place just besides the Beach..best during Mornings and Evenings.. Directly at the sea side - very beautiful especially in the sun - huge and stunning sculpture - I loved it very much - dunno why it has so bad reviews cause it is exactly what I expected it to be Not my cup of tea, there's no explanation of what this is about and without that this may as well be someone spare junk left out for someone else to clean. Mainly without the explanation of what this is I don't see the point of having these in an area with much better displays of art. Apologies to thr artist, whoever that is but maybe your execution was not well planned Son described it as big pieces of trash. Also, obviously, don't climb on it. Nurse at the hospital said they get many 'clients' from this work of art. Everyone seems to have a strong opinion about Rock Strangers, from Arne Quinze. Honestly it grew on me: so much rejection for almost everyone I know, took me to look at it from different perspectives. And now is one of my favourite places. I took some of my best photos there: especially in grey, boring, heavy weather, they are a blessing to my soul. Let them be! Absolutely horrible , ugly , tacky . These are an eyesore on the sea front . Why on earth would these bright orange objects have been given permission to be placed there ? I would give no stars if possible . Hideous . I can understand that public art is about laundering tax money to friends and relatives of the local government, but why on earth fight to keep this ugly abomination obstructing everyone's view when it's clear nobody wants it? This piece of **** unnecessarily made my visit to Oostende just a little bit worse. And no, it's not that I don't "understand the art, man". It's just plain ugly. Why, Oostende, why?
