Beware anyone looking to play here. Our society has played here before whilst on our European tour. Excellent course and we booked AUGUST 2024 to play here in June 2025. We planned to base ourselves in Bruges and play 4 days with the first at Zoute. They accepted the booking and everything looked good to go. April 2015 and they contacted our travel agent and told them that they have decided to hold a club competition and they were moving us from 10 in the morning to 3 in the afternoon. There are 30 of us. We would be finishing around 8 in the evening! Despite our pleas they refused to hold to the original agreement. Clearly they have no regard for visitors. We shall not even bother to enquire in the future. They will make no more money from us as they clearly don't need it! Great course. Well-designed holes, supreme scenery. Greens are in good condition. Some of the most challenging holes I've ever played. Played as a couple in late August. Parking is via a coded barrier before you reach the club. Course is a mixture of heathland and links. Tees and greens were in good condition but the lack of rain had clearly affected the fairways which were very patchy. Bunkers were well maintained. Amazing facilities off the course but there was a large event happening in the clubhouse so we didn't eat or drink there. A good solid course to try on a Belgian trip After many years we have returned to the Belgian coast and Knokke. Always on my list I finally managed to play the Royal Zoute Golf. A great course in prime condition with a challenging and beautiful layout. The clubhouse and the well stocked Pro Shop are pure bliss. The cherry on the cake is the halfway house with a mandatory stop. Only criticism I had, I expected more Links Golf but apart from that a full Royal recommendation. Excellent golf club. High end course. Very well maintained. Shop has best gear, Olivier is always helpful, great energy. Restaurant has wonderful food. What a fabulous experience on the course and at the terrace ! Booked via Golfbreaks to play in June with a large society from the UK on tour, only for Royal Zoute to cancel our morning tee time and move us to late afternoon so they could run a competition. Totally out of order. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to playing the course. Won’t bother coming back!
