Other annoying thing is that they have demolished part of it and created a super modern old-men-house in its place with flat roofs and dark bricks. Something completely different from this pretty historical castle. 2 stars and not one because you can still see something of the old castle and you can have a nice walk in the park next to it. Attended a Halloween night walk here which was really spectacular. On a normal day the old castle is nothing special, just a dilapidated building with a small park, pond, play area around it. The wait was very long this time but normally there is no wait or entry fees. Still undergoing restoration. Site unaccessible. Horrible mismanagment of what could have been a great location. The buildings which were once there should have been restored to former glory and given a new function. What was "restored" is a complete joke. Don't keep buildings in ruins. Restore what is left fully before that collapses too. Het park rond de ruïne ligt in het centrum van Lede en is publiek toegankelijk. In een kwartiertje wandel je rond de ruïne en de centrale vijver.
