Enkel open zondags en op hoogdagen... je vindt hier unieke gueuzes. Legendary Cafe that definitely lives up to the hype. The are very and helpful, and the cellar is excellent. Very much worth a for fans of and gueze. There's indeed something special about this place. Warm, friendly, massive sélection of (I highly recommend those from the hyper-local Vrijsaat Vanmol brewery). It's open only on Sundays. Do it as a bicycle day trip. Zeer gezellig cafe, met een enorme keuze aan lambiek en geuze bieren. De baas heeft ook veel kennis van geuze´s . Ook lekkere kaas van lokale schapenwol! Een aanrader. Let op enkel open op zondag . Fantastic little village pub with an exquisitely-curated list. The vibe is relaxed and the are very friendly. Open Sunday afternoons (and other church days). Snacks are available. ** One KEY point to account for if visiting from Brussels: Uber will take you to the pub; they CANNOT pick you up (as of August 2018). ** You'll need to catch a bus from the highway (5-10 min walk) that runs once an hour back into Brussels. Plan wisely. Wow What a location Super and a bottle list to rival any bar. Great bar with a huge variety of (specially lambics)! Historic Building with big tables where you can talk to other enthusiastics. Interior decoration was also nice! It only opens on Sundays, from 10am to 8pm, so if you are close to this area, I highly recommend the it. It is not so easy to explain the warm and atmosphere of this place. It's open on Sundays mornings as it was the tradition of these kinds of bars where villagers used to offer a to thank neighbours for coming to a marriage or a funeral. Very good choice of geuze but not only. Some food (cheese and paté) to accompayin beers, but not really a kitchen. It's a taste of ancient West Flanders atmosphere. What a wonderful little pub serving the best on earth. It’s easy to get there with the 128 bus from Brussels. Very and the whole place is cozy and relaxing. Plus the pate, jam, cheese and bread are tasty and exactly what you need to pair with bottles of lambics. We have tried 36 years old there, great experience. Great place, atmosphere, selection of No questions - BEST CAFE in the world! Took me no joke 15 years to finally the mecca. It did not disappoint! Arrived around 1030, only a few locals in the cafe at that time. Started with a flight recommended by the staff: - Den Herberg - Girardin - 3F - Kestemont Kestemont surely the most unique, but Den Herberg was my favorite, which prompted a later to their bar in Halle - cool spot btw. After enjoying the flight, ordered some bread with jam and a 1989 De Neve Gueuze, which was just a privilege to drink. Amazing example of a geuze with all the minerality, softness and funk you can dream of. Super grateful to the owners and of the cafe for cellaring and taking care of like that. Hopefully won't have to wait that long for next visit. Cheers! Rustig authentiek oud café waar vooral verschillende Geuze en kriek en ook andere bieren kan gedronken worden. Was verschillende malen genomineerd als beste café van de wereld. This might just be the best bar in the world!😋🍾. The bottle selection is absolutely mind-blowing and the is really ☺️. They have vintage from the 80's and quite a few that are only available at the bar. The atmosphere is authentic and the visitors are primarily locals 😉. We also went to the cellar, but no pictures were allowed 😪. Essential for all lovers! Geweldig en sfeervol café met ambiance en een geweldige bierkaart. Must voor bierliefhebbers, zeker voor Geuze liefhebbers. If you love wild fermentation this place should be visited at least once in a lifetime. The selection of will blow your mind. Kurt is an expert in geuze and with a cordial and knowledgeable attitude. You will find people from all over the world having the time of their lives. Each is treated with the care and respect that they deserve. Do not forget to try the different cheeses some of them are cured in local beers. Definitely one of my favorite places on earth. Very kind and legendary selection. Good jams and pate to accompany your beers. Traditional environnement. A must for beerlovers. I honestly believe that this is the best place in the world. Heaven for lovers. It’s really hard to describe the greatness of this pub. The is super friendly. Unreal selection.
