Concerts at Saffron do not usually offer a student discount and only for under 25s, so I have previously wanted to attend but not had enough money. I really think that Saffron should consider increasing the age limit for discount, a student discount and a discount for those on a low wage in order to increase accessibility of classical music and diversity of the audience. I understand that funding of the arts is tight but I think that allowing audiences to become less and less diverse will be a disaster. Rather, I think creative ways of funding accessible tickets are possible like last minute tickets and stewarding/volunteering schemes.
