First visiting, we did the Machine room. Well organised and fun! Difficulty was about right, enough to be challenging but not impossible. We did need a few hints. Looking forward to doing one of the other next time. It is quite dark in the so you might need the torch on your phone for reading! Fun that kept us amused for an hour. A variety of different to chose from - we did one around an asteroid heading for the earth and it was entertaining without being ridiculously hard, though we did need a few hints. Staff were helpful and friendly and the was relaxed and fun. Recommended. Visited with my (2 parents plus kids 14yo and 12yo) this half term. We did the Armageddon and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's possible to book online and the booking process is straightforward. You can either pay a deposit or the full amount. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly staff. There are toilets and drinks available (very reasonable price) as well as a secure locker area to store bags, coats etc. The itself had plenty of puzzles to crack and all of our were able to contribute which was really important to the overall experience. The theming of the was slick and added to the overall atmosphere. The might benefit from a refresh of a tiny minority of puzzles as sometimes it was possible to narrow answers down because it was obvious which buttons had been pressed/selected but that is really a minor quibble of what was an excellent experience. We did the Egyptian tomb with a larger group. We were never all working on something at the same time, the total number of things to do was below 20, and our guide wasn't as good as many of the reviews on here state, which seems to be what makes the experience. I'd argue the taken and puzzle count were not even close to £20 per person in value. It may be that we took a competent group to an easy room, though, so I may return for a different with a smaller group in future. Brilliant, this was fun, challenging, creative and a fab way to spend an hour in Cambridge. We did the Egyptian tomb, it was the first I have done an and we did it without hints, which actually makes you feel better about doing it lol. I would love to go back and do the secret agent one. Great gift for someone too Went as a of 6 (kids aged 10 - 14) to do the "Armageddon" - thankfully, we managed to save the world from total destruction. We found this a good level of challenge, fun to do and well organised. Agree with other reviewers that the are - they are animated, interested, encouraging and play their roles well, without being naff or overbearing. Also, the lobby where you wait before and after a game is actually a really pleasant place too. Would definitely go again. ⸻ We spent a Sunday afternoon at Lockhouse Games with my friends and had an amazing time! We chose the “Armageddon” and had so much fun – lots of laughs and excitement while searching for clues. Considering it was our first time, I think we did really well, but we’ll definitely be back to take on the challenges in other rooms. The were super friendly, explained everything quickly, and were very helpful. Such a experience! The price could be a bit lower, but we understand it’s Cambridge, so it’s fair for the city. Lots of fun. The game room(s!) were well designed and the puzzles were and we broke the curse of the Mayan Temple in just under 50mins! My first completed room! We'll definitely be coming again to try out the others! We had our party here, over 3 rooms. Everyone had an amazing time, we did Armageddon, Secret Mission, and Mayan Temple, every one was so well thought out and had loads of puzzles of varying styles, with some that were more physical, lateral, and involving team work. I would 100% recommend to anyone. Thank you to Helen and Joel who looked after us. We shall see you for the next party!! The best place for in Cambridge! They have many wonderful all ranging in difficulty. I have now completed all at Lockhouse bar the new Machine room, which I am very excited to return and conquer! They always have friendly and incredibly themed rooms. Can't wait to see what they create next! Thoroughly enjoyed the Armageddon room, and managed to within the hour! The are fun, engaging and encouraging. The only criticism is that the were so dark it made it difficult to see some clues and the numbers on combination locks. I don’t think a little more light would detract from the mystery of it all. Also, it could do with a little refreshing as some of the coloured clues didn’t make sense as the colours had faded over so we had to be given an answer in order to move forward. That being said, I will definitely book another in the future! It is so rare to find an that engages both kids (ours were aged 8 and 11) as well as adults, that is just so well thought through and clever. We did the Mayan adventure and just when you think you are done, another twist presents itself. The thought and attention to detail that has gone into each puzzle is mind blowing. So much better than the more commercial 'chain' style that are just too corporate and lack that unique feel. We've done a few (mainly in London) but this really was one of the best we have done. Highly recommend. We'll def be back when their new Travel opens too. Our guide (sorry don’t remember his name) was terrific! The was air conditioned, perfect for the hot weather. The design of the puzzle was very fun! Love it and will come back! We have taken our team at Bayfield Training to the Lockhouse annually for our Christmas Activity. This year we tried out the latest 'Time Machine' which was excellent! Would recommend to other organisations and groups! Helen from lockhouse was great. Me & my previously went to this for the first time. Our host Joel was absolutely brilliant. He made the so fun and welcoming, and was fantastic with the dramas and backstory! Thank you very much for such an excellent experience! The was also amazing too, would definitely recommend! Harry was a fantastic host, very helpful and took us through the evening wonderfully. We did the Egyptian Tomb room, and it was so much fun! Will definitely be coming back! First visiting and would definitely go back. We did the Mayan Temple and found it to be one of the best we've done ( and we've done a few!). Help was available if needed, but only if we asked, which was appreciated, as it's often more fun trying different things first. Looks like new are being developed so will be keeping our eyes open. We had an absolutely fantastic at the room! This was our first experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. As someone in a wheelchair, I was able to get into the Armageddon room, it’s not wheelchair accessible as there were four steps leading in, but with a little help from my family, I was able to bump up the steps and get in. Once inside the there is a little lip that you have to get over in the adjoining which you have to do a couple of times throughout the game and I don’t think you would get through in a larger wheelchair. The itself was super fun, exciting, and definitely challenging! Our guide and host was brilliant—his role-playing talents really added to the experience. He was not only entertaining but also extremely helpful when we needed a little guidance. Overall, it was such a memorable experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun and inclusive challenge! Best we have done as a family, Mayan temple is with lots of surprises. We went with three children 13, 11 & 4 years old. Helen was a host! Ahhhhhh! Exhilarating! Good fun and definitely worth it. Most interactive ever!!!! This was our first and it was a brilliant time! Christian was fantastic and really helped bring the to life. Very keen to try more challenging ones in the future! Me and my had a blast of a for my bro’s bday in the secret agent room. puzzles, very interesting decor. Clearly a lot of effort and thought goes into these rooms. Christian was a host, really set the scene. Welcoming and cool. Had a time, thanks a lot :) Website change monitoring Monitor any webpage for changes – get instant email alerts when prices drop, new jobs are posted, products come back in stock, or competitors update their sites.
