It's not clear where which busses are going to arrive/departure, looks like only the driver knows where he is going to stop The 1869 railway terminal's conversion left visible platform numbers on the walls. Buses still park where tracks once ran. The clock tower's mechanism winds automatically using counterweights in the walls. An old place, has got some history to it. People complain that they dont have modern shiny new station, buy fór traveler like me Its a dream. Amazing historical building in despair, with deep communist atmosphere, some staff only speak Russian, but english dont exist, which isnt a problem, because is very easy to find your bus, get some cheap coffee with surprisingly not Bad flavours (if you také the one from grinded beans for 4lei-0,8€) and you Can even change some currency, almost everybody is willimg to do that. But dont except anything bellow 4,5 lei for 1€. Official rate is 4,99. Buses usually leave on tíme! Food ok, atmosphere lovely, adjacento park so great 4kids. Try to use the loo before you embark, as the loos here might be closed, and most buses do not have one. Rough around the edges. Serves a purpose. Filaret in Bucharest has a bit of an old-school vibe. It’s not as modern as some of the other stations, but it’s still pretty functional and gets you where you need to go. There is not even sign outside that is a bus station. It’s so hard to tell where to enter it from. Also I would highly suggest you to take an Uber to get here Dirty, rundown, too bad because it's a beautiful old building I would like to share my extremely unpleasant experience of booking a ticket through the transport company Bustrans Ibra. For several days I corresponded via WhatsApp using the phone number indicated on their website with the company operator because when I called her, she told me that she did not know English and asked me to write on WhatsApp (which is at least strange when the operator of long-distance international transportation does not knows English), in the end I booked one place from Bucharest to Poland, 02/21/2024 at 04:00 am. I arrived at 02:00 in the morning at the location that the company operator gave me, since I was traveling from another city, I arrived an hour earlier than the time indicated by her (she wrote to me that I needed to arrive an hour before the bus departure, namely at 03:00 in the morning , in order to make payment for the ticket at their office). I stood on the street from 02:00 to 04:30, since the office was closed and there was no bus leaving for Poland. I tried to call the operator and wrote her a message on WhatsApp, but no one picked up the phone or wrote back to me. I had to cancel my hotel reservation in Poland and go back to the airport. Due to the dishonest, negligent, perhaps even racist attitude of an employee of the Bustrans Ibra company, I missed a very important meeting, wasted money on tickets to Bucharest and back, plus a taxi, and wasted my personal time. Who will compensate me for all this? I strongly do not recommend Bustrans Ibra for planning important trips and trips in general. The back of the looks like an art platform for exhibitions and informal hangouts, the building is very old but the main thing is that there are regular buses that is the main thing A nice and easy dropping point with easy public transit access to Old Town District. The small kiosk outside serves cold bottled and canned local beer. Sometimes the toilets are closed so you have to hold it in. The local bar around the corner is a good place to get hammered on cheap shots ,& beer before or after your bus ride. Small station, not crowded. There is a wi-fi but can’t get a password. Sheltered. The is extremely run-down and dirty, with a strange market inside where unpacked products (such as ayran, backers, etc) is left on shelves without any sanitary regulations. Animals are sitting near the food, even where it's prepared. There's no administration office at the where you can lodge complaints about the transport companies, on the their delays, refuses of refund, etc. Everything says if you're dissatisfied with a service, keep your opinion to yourself. “Take it or leave it my friend.” Old & dirty place. The taxi drivers are more helpfull than information desk. I wish the goverment of Bucharest to destroy this ancient place and build a modern bus station. Aceasta clădire a fost prima de tren din București. Voi acm vedeți o de autobuze, iar daca dam in urma cu 50 de ani, vedem ca era o mare. Sub copertina erau 4 lini de tren. Daca vreți mai exact sa vedeti, uitați-va la poze. Asta era linia veche mergea la (cu roșu), linie a fost desființată . Pleaca de la București Progresulu până la de vorbesc. In prima poza nu am marcat pe unde era linia, in a doua poza am marcat unde și cum pleca liniile , inar in a treia poza e porțiunea de cale ferată a fost desființată, cea pleca de la București Progresulu până la pe o vedeți în ziua de azi, o de autobuze. Sper că ați înțeles. Sunt pasionat de trenuri și istorie, mulțumesc. O zi frumoasa.
