This is a place of historical interest with an ancient stone, which probably had a sacrificial meaning in the past centuries; the remains of a more recent church are nearby. The view is fantastic. Just a few meters away from czech border. Very interesting place. You can see there twelve sacred stones. It is a place where there is supposed to be high geomagnetic energy that people used to cure themselves. In the past There was an old church. Nice view to both Austria And Czech republic countryside and vineyards. Nice calm place. The ruin of the old Christian temple. Actually the Fundament. Outstanding sightseeing. The Chapel of the Most Holy Theotokos with the Bell. Vineyards all around. Selling wine in the kiosk. Nice place of rest and meditation. A mystetious place, the mysterious stone. Strange feelings at this spot. Very good idea to build such a gallery around. A lot of people there. Everybody was speaking silently or focusing on strong energy flooding this place. 1,5 km za obcí Hnanice A wonderful and peaceful place near the town of Retz in th Austrian area of "Weinviertel" (at thse Austrian - Czech border) For locals it's a well known place in the area for a afternoon walk at the fragments of a old middle age church. It's said that the remaining stones of the church have some healing powers, that why the place its called "heiliger Stein" which means: "holy stone". There is also a little Chappell at the hill, and every weekend a local vintner is serving their wine and some food. A beautiful place nestled in the vinyards, offering stunning views on the Czech-Austrian countryside. Nice view, from Czech border (Hnanice/Mitterretzbach crossing point) accessible by walk or bike. Mind the ground squirrels, they are everywhere here. I consider them as an additional value of this wonderful place.
