Grand enough pub. They have a good size function which is pretty perfect for Christenings. Their drink options are normal/limited. They do food too. Great pub located conveniently on the main street. We were there in the function which is right beside the pub. The pub has a nice ambient vibe, open bars in pretty much every direction. Not too busy for a Friday. The event had a strange set-up where the stage took up half of the floor space. Floor space can be cramped for even a smaller gathering. There's a bar inside the event available on request. If you have your own catering, it eats up into your floor spaces. It really is suitable for a small gathering prob 50 or less. Parking is ample. Great pub With an avg event room. The owners were helpful and accommodating. Food was desperate. Got garlic mushrooms and fish and chips. The mushrooms and chips were obviously reheats and were like leather. Couldn't eat it. When we told them there was no apology or any acknowledgement. Disaster, won't be back. Brilliant pub, very friendly will be back here again😁 A superb find this place, Clonee is not somewhere I visit too often. Although I'd seen the place (you can't help it as it's a huge venue and well presented) it's very well maintained inside also where traditional and modern blend well, it was so cold the open fires were blazing fantastic. nstantly relaxing atmosphere upon entry with who are all expertly trained. I understand it's been operated by the same family for decades. A tight ship with a well-oiled engine at its core. The locals are very lucky to have a venue like this on their doorstep. Excellent all round. Highly recommended Came up for the first time in a long time for my mam and dad's 25th wedding anniversary..safe to say it was the best experience I've had in any pub ...from the food to the two girls who looked after us they went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed ..put themselves out of their way everytime we ordered and both waitresses were bubbly and chatty which is a clear sign that they enjoy their Jobs which again made our experience enjoyable ❤️ My favourite place where I like to spend my weekend evenings , the food is delicious the service and the atmosphere, everything is grand. Visited yesterday and was truly impressed. The pub offers a spacious and comfortable setting, making it the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The drinks were served at just the right temperature—cold and refreshing, with the tequila poured expertly. The were incredibly kind, adding warmth to the already inviting atmosphere. The overall ambiance was undeniably Irish, capturing the charm and authenticity that makes a great pub experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a welcoming spot with great service and a true taste of Ireland! I just recently had a Christening in the function at the Grasshopper. I cannot speak highly enough of the place. Martin and the team were amazing to deal with and all the were exceptional on the day making sure everything ran smoothly. There is a super friendly atmosphere there in general. The food was fresh and delicious and the space was fantastic for an event. Everyone commented on the food and the professionalism of the staff. I would highly recommend The Grasshopper and will most definitely book my events there in the future.
