Deadman's Inn, located near Clayton Hotel Liffey Valley, is a cozy Irish pub that warmly welcomed us on our first night in Ireland. We arrived at 7 PM, unaware that the kitchen was about to close, but the kindly accommodated us. Despite some leftover offerings, the dishes were satisfying, though my beef roast was a bit dry and tough. The highlight was, of course, a classic pint of Guinness, which added to the authentic Irish experience. The pub has a charming, traditional vibe, perfect for starting a trip, though checking kitchen hours is recommended for a fuller experience. I just stopped by here today 15/03/2025 to meet a relative. We had a few beers but nothing to eat. Pleasant bar staff. Nice quaint interior. Toilets were spotless. Just one problem the head on the second and third pint of Guinness was too big. Overall a good pub to visit. Top class Inn!!!! As we heard they start to serve the steak on the stone which is our favourite we went to try out. It was an absolutely amazing experience. I mean unforgettable!!! The steaks were so delicious, the meat was top quality for a very reasonable price... Our daughter had chicken wings for a starter and chicken coujons for a main. She ate it all which is very unusual for her. Sticky toffee pudding for dessert was a treat after our delicious meal.... Alan the barman was so lovely and the credit goes to the manager Paula , she run the place very well 👌 job all the staff!!! Highly recommended 👌 Genuinely surprised that the pricing for breakfast and a la carte was so reasonable given the current food prices. €13.50 for a Full Irish + tea and toast. Keep up the work! Passed it by many times so we decided to stop in for drinks one summer evening. Gladcwe did-grest atmosphere in interior surroundings. Old meets new kinda vibe. Didn't eat, but the food looked delicious. Coming back! Lovely lunch with my friend 💕 Excellent food, excellent service 👌 And the were lovely . We will be back again, and I have recommended this restaurant to all my friends and family. Review for the carvery only. Quick service and top quality food on offer. Reasonably priced and you will not leave hungry. Comfortable surroundings with plenty of customer activity but not over crowded. Looking forward to another visit. Came in on the Thursday evening after work for quick supper, and pleasantly surprised with the fast service and huge portions. My friend ordered the chicken supreme, which was wolfed down so fast I didn't managed to take a picture. My fish of the day was a colossal battered cod and chips. value and the pub had a cosy warm atmosphere. I would to come back and try the carvery! We had breakfast there, the food was not bad, the pancakes were really tasty, but they were cold when we got them. The mini Irish breakfast was good, but the toast was burnt.. The table, crumbles were all over it. Capuchino was to perfection! Maybe it wasn't a good morning for the staff, it wasn't easy to get their attention when we wanted to pay at the end. We liked the character of the place. Food: Had Full Irish Breakfast ... I have to say it's perfect size and comes with tea/coffee. Service: service, is nice, took about 7min to get my breakfast to the table. Atmosphere: Lovely pub if you like the old irish style. The fireplace and couches at the tables make it feel cozy. I 100% recommend this venue For a place over 327 years old they really have mastered the art of food my kids loved it and my fiance alone with me five stars We love the carvery dinner here, absolutely lovely. I marked 3 stars for service as they chef wouldn't make a bowl of pasta for my child. Other places are happy to do this. Top place top food top people Excellent food, lovely pints and friendly crowds. Good boozer! The carvery was excellent, I can see this place being part of my weekend routine! I was happy to find this place a quick walk away from my hotel after a long few days of travel and a cancelled flight. Food was excellent, lovely pints of Guinness being poured, and a atmosphere hanging out at the bar. Big thanks to Alan and the rest of the team for taking care of a wayward traveler! Im a regular here. I go roughly twice a month with my wife and family. I went in today 06/07/2025. All i wanted was 6 slices of turkey to take away and some stuffing. When i reached the checkout i was told the would be charging me for 3 full portions of dinners. I thought it was a joke but the girl says 2 slices is the same as a full portion of dinner and that its not their fault i wasnt getting mash, veg etc that would normally come with a full portion of dinner. I will not be going back there ever again. Very dissatisfied local customer. Honestly a place to crack a cold one with the homies, it's not too crowded and the atmosphere is great, its aesthetic reminds me of an old chapel room but then it got renovated into a pub. The food is simple but enjoyable, I suggest a pint of Guinness with wings, the sourness and mild spice helps remove the bitterness of the stout. Even the payments are convenient, they accept cards and never give you an issue in any type of payment, they even allow us to split or separate orders (Making a guy pay for your drink and not yourself should only be done by women 😭), all while letting us eat first before paying as to enjoy the moment.
