The sallad, cookies, cheese, coffee etc was buffet style, laid out on a big tables in a separate room. Forgot to sample the different jellies - big blunder, as I think it would have been great with the Hackebiff. I recently had lunch at Hurva Gästgiveri, and the service was truly outstanding, far beyond what one usually expects. The staff were exceptionally helpful, warm, and attentive, and they absolutely deserve the highest praise for that. The food was equally impressive. I chose the plaice fillet, and was served two large, beautifully cooked fillets. It was not only generous in portion, but also the best plaice fillet I have had in ages, perfectly prepared and delicious. The fresh salad was a great complement, and I really appreciated being able to choose from three different sauces, served self service, which added an extra positive touch. Another highlight was that the staff kindly asked if I would like more food, and it was included in the price until you feel satisfied, an excellent and rare detail. Dessert included coffee, freshly brewed, candies, and cookies, a simple yet thoughtful finish to the meal. If I were to point out one minor drawback, it would be the atmosphere. While the setting itself is charming and rustic, the interior felt a bit spartan and minimalistic, which left room for improvement in terms of ambiance. We were just passing by the area but WOW. It was only 2 options of food for lunch, simple swedish food but so so good it came with few sides and included salad, bread, cheese, coffee and cookies. Such a generous portion compare to what you pay. staffs are very friendly and make you feel like you were invited to eat at your grandparents home.
